We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team as a Mobile Unit Specialist and support the launch of our new Mobile Mammography Unit! This is a vital expansion of our Women's Health services. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in both clinical and community outreach settings and is passionate about increasing access to preventive care in underserved areas. This new service line is part of YVFWC's commitment to whole-person, community-based care. By bringing mammography directly to rural and underserved areas, we are removing barriers to early detection and empowering women across the Yakima Valley to take charge of their health. What You'll Do: Drive and maintain the mobile unit, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and proper equipment sterilization per guidelines. Support patient care by registering, rooming, and preparing patients for exams, while promoting comfort and privacy. Manage mobile unit logistics, including maintenance of the garage and storage area, and ensure equipment security. Facilitate smooth patient flow by coordinating schedules, resolving issues, and supporting outreach events and health fairs. Educate patients on cancer screenings, contributing to community health awareness.
