This Assistant District Attorney will be primarily responsible for criminal prosecution of adults in the Unified Criminal Docket, as well as appellate cases before the Law Court and will be expected to assume a misdemeanor and/or felony level caseload and appear in a number of courts. Candidates should have a strong desire for a career in litigation, and good writing skills are essential. Trial experience and developed trial skills are preferred. High ethical standards, sound judgment, strong communication and inter-personal skills, and good organizational/time management skills are essential. This position may require travel to courts in Newport, Dover-Foxcroft, Lincoln, and Millinocket. The successful candidate must be able to work independently. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation is required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATONS Candidates should have a strong desire for a career in litigation and are expected to assume a felony level case load and appear in a number of courts. High ethical standards, sound judgment, strong communication and inter-personal skills, and good organizational/time management skills are essential. Candidates must be members of the Maine Bar and in good standing. Salary and benefits are as established by the wage scale.
