SUMMARY
Under general direction of the General Counsel, incumbents in the Attorney III-Licensing Classification provides legal advice to the Department primarily in connection to licensing matters, including the most complex and sensitive matters. Incumbents respond orally and in written format to Department personnel, outside agencies, licensees, license applicants, and members of the public regarding licensing matters. Additionally, incumbents advise Divisions, District Offices, and other Department personnel on pending licensing and protest matters, particularly with respect to tied-house laws and complex ownership structures. Duties also include working on regulations and legislative proposals as well as advising various Department units, including Human Resources and the Trade Enforcement Unit, regarding legal matters. Incumbents are expected to work with broad discretion and independence and to be expert in the complex area of law within the Department's legal program.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

QUALIFICATIONS
Graduation from an accredited law school, licensed to practice law in the State of Michigan, and must be a good standing of the State Bar of Michigan. Must have a minimum of four years of experience as a practicing attorney, preferably in domestic relations or family division matters, or two years of experience as a referee or magistrate, preferably in a domestic relations or family court setting. Will consider other legal experience which provides comparable knowledge and experience.
SUPERVISION
This position reports to the assigned Family Division Judge who reports to the Chief Judge. Day-to-day work is performed under the direction of the Family Division Administrator.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
In addition to conducting the Referee hearings, the individual in this position acts as the hearing room bailiff and court recorder. The Referee is responsible for preparing Referee Recommendations for Orders and Orders following hearings consistent with the Michigan Court Rules.

The Texas Public Policy Foundation is seeking an aggressive and innovative litigator with experience in the federal judiciary as an Attorney for the Center for the American Future. The qualified applicant will possess a strong love of liberty as the foundational purpose of government, an enthusiasm for Texas as the keystone of the American Dream, and an eagerness to challenge precedent and convention within the legal sphere in the defense of both.
The Center for the American Future defends the Constitution through legal opposition to government overreach. Assist with daily administration of walk-in applicants and emergencies, perform intake interviews in person and by phone for applicants, and assist in screening of clients for eligibility for full representation.

The Arizona Attorney General's Office State Government Division/Transportation Section is seeking a Construction/Condemnation Assistant Attorney General.

Job Duties:
While the position's working title is "Construction/Condemnation Attorney", the attorney will actually provide legal services and advice to the Department of Transportation on a variety of legal subjects including construction law, eminent domain law, property law, contracts and other areas of law as assigned. The attorney will be responsible for handling all phases of complex litigation involving real property acquisition and construction contract disputes. Additional matters will include, but are not limited to, relocation issues, encroachments and other right-of-way issues, property management issues, interpretation of any statutory of regulatory provisions relevant to ADOT activities, and review of proposed legislation or administrative rules. The attorney will also be responsible for advising ADOT in regard to procurement and other contract issues. The attorney will be available to advise and consult with other attorneys in the Section on contract issues, and will represent ADOT in all stages of litigation which may result from contract disputes.
