Communication and Service Coordination Coordinate with teachers to assure meals and snacks are appropriately scheduled according to the CACFP grant, and when necessary, individual needs are met. Essential Functions Functional Area: Central Kitchen Operations Estimated Effort: 70% Responsibilities, Deliverables, Outcomes and Expectations: * Ensure each Early Childhood site receives daily food supplies for breakfast, lunch, and snack; and food is packed properly following proper temperature procedures for each site * Accurately complete Early Childhood Production Forms daily * Work with Early Childhood site supervisors to monitor site inventory * Assist in the planning, development and production of Early Childhood menus * Ensure Summer Food Service Program sites receive daily food and supplies * Assist Senior Programs Lead Cook with food preparation, accurately reading and converting recipes for the preparation of large quantities of food; act as backup to Lead Cook as needed and when assigned * Read and convert recipes-prepare large quantities of food * Perform regular kitchen equipment maintenance and cleaning as assigned * Assist Senior Programs Lead Cook with ensuring all staff are adhering to food safety guidelines and procedures * Assist with overseeing assignments on the daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedule * Maintain certifications and attend required training per Senior Programs policy, Food Safety guidance, and funding requirements Functional Area: Inventory, Ordering, Reporting Estimated Effort: 20% Responsibilities, Deliverables, Outcomes and Expectations: * Assist Senior Programs Lead Cook in tracking perpetual inventory and ordering products needed for the Central Kitchen * Assist in entering perpetual inventory of products used/received daily * Responsible for Early Childhood and Summer Food Service Program inventory * Monitor and maintain product use by rotating products, using the First In / First Out Method * Responsible for accurate and timely monthly reporting of the Early Childhood Program meals * Ensure products used are documented and coded to the proper programs in Allocation * Complete Early Childhood bread order form and meal counts daily for monthly reporting * Responsible for accurate and timely reporting of daily meals for the Summer Food Service Program Functional Area: Agency Service Estimated Effort: 10% Responsibilities, Deliverables, Outcomes and Expectations: * CAC Committee assignments, and other agency service duties as assigned * Liaison between clients, early childhood programs, and senior programs Minimum Requirements * Education: High School Diploma or equivalent * Job-Related Experience: * Valid Ohio Driver's License * Clean driving record * Reliable transportation * Insurable under agency policy * Completion of program-related and criminal background checks * Minimum one year food service experience * People Management Experience: Friendly, professional, and courteous demeanor * Licenses, Certifications, and Accreditations: ServSafe Certification within 6 months of hire Preferred Qualifications * Preference given to individuals with a current ServSafe certificate * Preference given to individuals with experience with Early Childhood Programs * Preference given to individuals with computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office * Preference given to individuals with experience in catering or preparation of large quantities of food Working Conditions * Must be able to lift 40 pounds * Required to stand for long periods of time; lifting on a regular basis; work in a hot area * Drive in variable weather conditions and enter/exit a vehicle multiple times each day * May be exposed to communicable diseases and environmental conditions such as bed bugs, etc. Education High School Diploma or equivalent Job-Related Experience * Valid Ohio Driver's License, clean driving record, reliable transportation, insurable under agency policy. * Completion of program related and criminal background checks. * Minimum one year food service experience.
