Excellent written, verbal and computer skills required.

Key Responsibilities:
Delivers care to adult and geriatric patients with common diagnoses including Breast, Lung, Colon, Prostate, and Pancreatic Cancers, as well as Sickle Cell Crises.
Manages patients admitted for Continuous cardiac monitoring related to chemotherapy administration and symptom management.
Possesses strong Telemetry skills, including Interpretation of dysrhythmias and managing associated equipment (GE Telemetry, B450 monitors).
Performs advanced procedural support, including Accessing Ports, Central line care/management, PICC line management, Arterial line management, and Blood Product Administration.
Provides respiratory support, including High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) and interpretation of ABGs.
Maintains a heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient falls within the 36-bed unit.
REQUIRED to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity.

Job Responsibilities
Rapid Response & Readiness
40+ work hours (on-call) must be completed during the following on-call schedule:
Monday thru Friday 8:00 am to 8:00 pm
Every other Saturday and Sunday 8:00 am to 8:00 pm
On rare occasions, the nurse may be asked to complete an overnight shift if patient safety is at risk and all other coverage options have been exhausted
Be prepared to leave for a shift within 30 minutes during on-call hours (BrightStar will schedule shifts as far in advance as possible)
Maintain readiness by ensuring:
Uniform and ID badge are worn
Childcare is pre-arranged
Cell phone is charged, and ringer is on
Transportation is available
Equipment and necessary supplies are always accessible
Support BrightStar office operations when not assigned to field shifts
Direct Client Care & Case Management
Conduct initial assessments, re-assessments, and safety evaluations
Deliver skilled nursing per Ohio Nurse Practice Act (e.g., infusion therapies, wound care, injections, etc.)
Observe and report changes in client condition, document thoroughly
Follow infection control protocols and universal precautions
Respond appropriately in emergencies and use equipment safely
Administrative Support
Develop and maintain person-centered Plans of Care and obtain physician signatures
Coordinate care with families, providers, and internal staff
Assist with referral intake and follow-up communications
Assist Clinical Director with:
Weekly chart reviews for compliance (JCAHO, state, brand standards)
Incident reporting and resolution
Timely client discharges with complete summaries
Daily documentation review to support billing and reimbursement
Supervise and coach nursing/caregiving staff:
Conduct competency assessments and supervisory visits
Lead caregiver-client introductions and field education
Facilitate orientation, skills training, and in-service programs
Be available for urgent clinical issues or questions
Job Requirements
Licensure & Education
Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio
Degree in Nursing from a National League for Nursing-accredited program
Minimum of three (3) years clinical experience, including at least one (1) year of documented case management
Preferred: One (1) year experience in a home health agency and healthcare management
Preferred: One (1) year experience working with pediatric clients
Clinical & Regulatory Competencies
Strong nursing assessment skills and attention to detail
Ability to supervise, educate, and direct staff effectively
Thorough understanding of regulatory compliance at state and federal levels
Familiarity with Joint Commission policies and survey preparedness
Adherence to HIPAA standards and commitment to client confidentiality
Ability to manage complaints and complex situations using sound clinical judgment
Experience in client teaching and public speaking
Interpersonal & Professional Skills
Excellent customer service and tactful communication with clients, staff, and community partners
Strong interpersonal skills including active listening, empathy, leadership, and motivation
Ability to multi-task, troubleshoot, and remain composed in high-pressure situations
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a team
Technologically proficient (Microsoft Office, EMR platforms)
Availability & Health Requirements
Flexible schedule with availability for on-call coverage as needed within assigned territory and surrounding region
Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance
Willingness to travel daily throughout the assigned territory, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
Current CPR certification and negative TB test within the past 12 months
Up-to-date vaccinations: Influenza, COVID-19, Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis, Rubella, Varicella, MMR, Hepatitis B
Ability to pass drug screening, background check, and criminal record clearance upon hire and any beyond
Must be able to stand walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

Job Description
Provides direct and indirect nursing services for students with developmental disabilities. Utilizes the nursing process, nursing diagnoses, and nursing interventions and is accountable to the individual, family, caregivers, and peers for delivery of optimum care.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Replaces or assists school nurse on an "as-needed" basis, as scheduled by supervisor.
Performs assessment and treatment of students on an emergency basis as well as on a continuous basis. Reports circumstances occurring at the time a student experiences a seizure, injury, illness, behavioral episode and /or any other medical or emotional difficulty to supervisor.
Implements consumer care and establishes priority order for individual care activities.
Performs treatments and procedures as directed by the physician in accordance with Stark DD policy and procedure and according to professional standards of nursing practice, Ohio Board of Nursing, ODE, ODH and DODD. Reviews Emergency and medical forms for accuracy and completeness.
Delegates consumer care and tasks to appropriate M.A. certified DD Personnel and supervises their performance and skills. Participates in training and supervision of nurse delegated tasks and medication administration for M.A. Certified DD Personnel. Participates in health-related in-service training for staff to maintain compliance with medication certification requirements.
Assists and consults with staff, families, physicians and others about the medical needs of the student including treatments, procedures and instructions.
Participates in the identification, reporting and management of students suspected of being abused or neglected.
Assists Privacy Officer to protect confidential information of the students served from unauthorized use or disclosure.
Follows Health Department guidelines and Board Policy regarding communicable diseases.
Attends and participates in conferences, trainings, and meetings
Communicates appropriate information, both verbal and written, diplomatically with students, parents and staff on all issues, including those which may be of a sensitive nature in order to ensure the continuity of care.
Communicates effectively with supervisor and multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications:
