M-F 8:00am - 4:30pm
Practice autonomously and in collaboration with a variety of individuals to diagnose and manage clients' psychiatric illnesses in an Open Access Center setting, and also working with established long term clients.
Provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management and follow-up medication management to patients
Treat crisis situations and emergencies, as needed
Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination
Patient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment
Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve
Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and problem-solving skills

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
Provides financial analysis to and serve as support for system leadership, regional and entity financial officers, and others as directed or required, to assist in the efficient and cost-effective operation of BSWH.
Develops ad hoc and ongoing reporting as required/requested, utilizing BSWH systems which include Syntellis Axiom and Power B
Produces reporting, including presentations, for annual operating budget, 5-year financial planning, current year rolling projection, and all other processes overseen.
Conducts finance training for BSWH personnel as directed.
Understands financial operations and works with all levels of finance, clinical management/personnel to ensure the accuracy of the analysis.
Maintains professional growth through participation in educational programs and professional organizations and activities to maintain knowledge of current trends, practices, and developments.
KEY SUCCESS FACTORS
Healthcare finance experience (Particularly Hospital/Clinic Experience)
Experience in financial planning and Budgeting
Self-starter and able to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong analytical abilities and presentation skills
Intermediate to advanced excel skills
Experience with enterprise financial systems (Syntellis Axiom experience preferred)
Experience with data visualization software (Power BI experience preferred)

Objectives of the internship are:

Three education sessions are built into this program to provide hands on learning and further education.
**The program will run for 10 weeks, from Tuesday, May 26, 2026, through Friday, July 31, 2026. The student is not required to attend the Day 1 system-wide orientation; however, they must complete an abbreviated orientation facilitated by Katie Johnson, Nurse Residency Coordinator.**

Responsibilities
Duties (under the direct supervision of the RN):
Provides and coordinates nursing care to patients utilizing the nursing process.
Completes documentation to assure an accurate record of patient's care.
Utilizes critical thinking in making independent judgments and maintains responsibility for the knowledge of conditions of assigned patients.
Collaborates with physicians and other professionals in planning and implementing care within hospital policy and legal limitations.
Assesses needs of patients and families, provides appropriate teaching to facilitate discharge planning, and makes the necessary referrals to community agencies to provide continuity of care.
Utilizes a holistic approach (considering physical, psych/social, spiritual, educational, safety, and related criteria) appropriate to the age of the patients served in the assigned service area.
Demonstrates initiative to improve quality of care, patient and employee safety, and customer service.
Qualifications
Must Haves:
Submit proof of state approved Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) or proof of completion of introductory clinical nursing course with clinical component
Graduating nursing School in Winter 2026 or Spring 2027 with completion of first adult (med/surg) clinical
Current AHA BLS Card- Professional Provider
All interns are required to be enrolled in the Experiential Learning in Nursing course during the duration of the internship.

Conducts thorough research and manual calculation from Managed Care Rate Grids and Contracts to determine accurate amounts due to BSWH per each individual Insurance Contract. Enters data in Patient Accounting systems and Access database to track and monitor payments and penalties. Prepares legal documents to refer accounts to the Managed Care legal group for accounts deemed uncollectable.
Through thorough review ensures that balances on accounts are true and accurate as well as correct any contractual or payment entries. Verify insurance coding to ensure accurate payments.
Receives, reviews, and responds to correspondence related to accounts. Takes action as required.
SALARY
The pay range for this position is $16.12 (entry-level qualifications) - $24.17 (highly experienced) The specific rate will depend upon the successful candidate's specific qualifications and prior experience.
