UnityPoint Health - Grinnell provides coordinated clinic, hospital and home-based care for patients in east central Iowa. A private, nonprofit, non-tax supported medical center, UnityPoint Health - Grinnell is the largest hospital in Iowa between Des Moines and Iowa City and serves more than 47,000 residents in 6 counties.
Responsibilities
* Join a team of obstetrics providers: 1 OBGYN, a Family Medicine Physician trained to perform c-sections, and a Certified Nurse Midwife with full hospital support
* 1:3 call
* New outpatient clinic attached to the hospital, da Vinci Xi onsite, and one of the best ORs in the state
* Hospital is averaging over 200 deliveries a year with room to grow to 300 deliveries and over 200 procedures
* 33 Bed hospital equipped with remote fetal monitoring, hospital and clinic-based ultrasound and more
* Average 3.5 days in clinic, 1 day in OR, this can vary depending on physician
* Level 4 Trauma Emergency Department, 50 employed providers and 350 employees at the Hospital
* Position is open to all candidates and new graduates
Qualifications
* MD or DO
* Board Eligible or Board Certified in FP with OB
* Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Iowa
* Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physician's field of practice
* Eligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt)
