    Job Title: System Administrator - Applications Department: IT Reports To: Associate Director of IT Job Classification: Exempt Summary: The purpose of this position is to support the District's enterprise and auxiliary information systems, including the student information system (SIS), web portal, and other integrated platforms. This position is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and reliable operation of these systems. It develops and maintains custom applications and system integrations in collaboration with the District's part-time developer, including support for automation tools such as Microsoft Power Automate. The position also assists the Marketing team with the development and support of both on-premise and third party hosted websites. Additional responsibilities include end-user support and training, user access and permissions management, administration of the District's single sign-on (SSO) solution, and management of SSL certificates across District systems. This position participates in the planning and implementation of systems to ensure that they meet the District's needs, are as secure as possible, follow industry best practices, and comply with all regulatory requirements. Job Responsibilities: * Supports the development and maintenance of the District's custom applications and system integrations in collaboration with the part-time developer. This includes on-premise and cloud-based systems, with responsibilities encompassing coding, testing, debugging, and implementation. Assists in the development of new features, enhancements, and data interfaces between District systems. Supports the District's automation efforts, including the usage of Microsoft's Power Automate platform. Works closely with subject matter experts and technical staff to define project scope and business requirements. Prepares user documentation and provides end-user training and support as needed. * Supports the District's enterprise-level and auxiliary information systems, including installation, configuration, upgrades, maintenance, user support, and user training. Systems include the District's ERP/SIS system and web portal, custom-built applications, video streaming solution, library proxy solution, door access control system, and security camera system. Coordinates work performed by third-party installers. * Assists the Marketing team with support for both on-premise and third-party hosted websites. Responsibilities include website development, maintaining and updating content, themes, and plugins, ensuring site security, troubleshooting technical issues, and performing back-end code development. Also supports the creation of user documentation and provides training to end users as needed. * Manages user access and permissions across District systems, including the ERP/SIS system, web portal, video streaming platform, door access control system, and security camera system. Also supports the District's single sign-on (SSO) solution, including user account management and SAML certificate renewals. * Manages the District's SSL (secure sockets layer) certificates for websites and systems. Works with the appropriate administrators to apply the certificates and to ensure they are kept up to date. * Provides PC support as needed, especially as it relates to the applications and systems that this position supports. Assists the IT department in developing, implementing, and maintaining a cyber/data security plan. Supports the overall success of the District by performing other duties as assigned. Education and Experience: Completion of an Associate's degree and 3 years of IT experience is required. Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in a technology related field preferred. Base Wage: $57,900-$77,000 annually - actual salary will be based on experience and education.
