Students at Iowa Western may enhance their learning experience and performance by using one of Iowa Western's campus resources. These include supplemental instruction, tutoring, writing and math labs and study skills workshops. Iowa Western students may also benefit from extracurricular activities. Whether they participate in an academic club, sports team, or work at the student-run experimental radio station there are many chances to enhance learning and cultivate other interests while socializing as well. With all of this it is no surprise that many Iowa Western students succeed in their chosen field or move on to respected universities or four-year colleges. Iowa Western's career development center provides internships and assists with job placement, while academic advising services assist students who wish to transfer. Financial aid is available to qualifying students through loans, grants and other sources, which may be discussed with a financial aid counselor.
