Ioxus CEO and leadership

Mark McGough has been the CEO of Ioxus since late 2010 and has led its growth towards becoming one of the world’s top tier developers of ultracapacitor-based energy storage systems. Ioxus has the only fully integrated ultracap manufacturing facility in North America and from there serves an extensive list of customers in the U.S., Japan, China and across Europe. In his first six months McGough led a successful refinancing round for Ioxus, bringing in blue-chip strategic investors such as GE, Conoco-Phillips, Alstom and Group Schneider for a round that was 50 percent oversubscribed. In February 2012, McGough negotiated Ioxus’ acquisition of Power Systems Corporation in Japan. McGough formerly served as CEO of Pentadyne Power Corporation and Envinta Corporation and Energetics PLC, and was a division president and general manager at Maxwell Technologies, where he launched its new business unit focused on ultracapacitors. During nearly three decades of leadership with technology and energy companies, McGough has established a long track record of success in commercializing new technologies, growing revenue and initiating high-volume production.

Philip Meek is a COO & CTO at Liacon and Chief Operating Officer at IOXUS INC and is based in New York Area, Albany, New York. He has worked as Global Vice President at ULTRALIFE CORP, VP of Manufacturing & COO Division Manager at ULTRALIFE CORP, and Sergeant at US Army. Philip works or has worked at PROCTER & GAMBLE CO. He studied at Indiana University until 1984, Ringgold High School between 1977 and 1982, and Indiana University of Pennsylvania between 1980 and 1984.

Ken Rudisuela has worked in the advanced battery and ultracapacitor industry for the last 28 years and has been involved in all areas of research and development, product development and design, manufacturing, and commercialization. As chief technology officer, Ken leads our engineering, research and development teams. He will help Ioxus stay ahead of the curve in the rapidly evolving energy storage technology market by producing ultracapacitors and hybrid capacitors that empower application innovations in a wide range of industries. Ken got his start in advanced portable energy systems with Moli Energy as a project engineer, and he worked his way through the organization to the position of general manager. During his time with Moli Energy, Ken took the technology out of the laboratory and built the only high-volume commercial manufacturer of lithium-ion batteries outside of Asia. He went on to become a founding member of Ukraine-based Ashurst Technologies, and later established Arcotronics Technology Services, a division of Arcotronics SpA. Ken led the effort to develop product and technology for the thin-filmed, flexible-packaged, lithium-ion polymer batteries. Ken earned his Bachelor of Applied Science degree from the University of Waterloo.
