Description
The Trade Classification Analyst will support global trade compliance operations by ensuring accurate and compliant classification of products, technology, and software under international trade and export control regulations. This role requires a strong technical understanding of semiconductor components, materials, and manufacturing processes to assign proper Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS), Schedule B, and Export Control Classification Numbers (ECCNs) with precision and consistency.
Note: This will be an on-site role. We are open to any U.S. Skyworks location, preferably Woburn, Austin or Irvine.
Responsibilities
* Analyze detailed semiconductor product specifications, schematics, and datasheets to determine correct HTS, Schedule B, and ECCN classifications for hardware, materials, and technology within EAR Categories 3, 4, and 5.
* Collaborate with engineering and R&D teams to understand design functions, materials composition, and end-use applications to guide accurate export jurisdiction and control decisions.
* Develop and maintain classification records in compliance systems (e.g., SAP).
* Assess and update classifications in response to product revisions, tariff updates, or regulatory changes under BIS, DDTC, and Wassenaar Arrangement frameworks.
* Conduct internal audits and respond to CBP or BIS classification inquiries and requests for information.
* Provide technical training to internal stakeholders on classification principles, semiconductor-specific ECCN interpretation, and export documentation accuracy.

Required Experience and Skills

Role Purpose
As a Technical Sales Manager for Genedata Profiler, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our sales efforts by providing expert technical support and guidance throughout and beyond the sales process. Your primary purpose will be to bridge the gap between our innovative software solution and the unique needs of our clients in the biopharma sector. You will collaborate closely with the sales, scientific, product and development teams to design tailored solutions, conduct pilots, facilitate onboarding, deliver compelling demos, and lead discovery sessions to ensure both our clients and sales achieve their goals.
The salary range for this role is
$95 000
to
$127 000.
This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
Role Responsibilities
Provide technical expertise and support about the product throughout the sales cycle, including post-sales implementation.
Conduct in-depth needs assessments and present customized solutions to customers.
Demonstrate the capabilities and values of Genedata Profiler through presentations and product demos.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure their ongoing satisfaction and success.
Advice and collaborate with the sales, marketing, product and scientific teams to expand the market and shape the product roadmap
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in AI in healthcare, cloud-based digital solutions, data products, and big data analytics.
Knowledge, Skills and Experiences
Educational Background: MSc or PhD in Life Sciences, Computer Science, or related fields, or equivalent on-the-job experience.
Professional Experience: Over 5 years of relevant experience in technical sales or data science within the software, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical industries.
Technical Expertise:
Proven experience in data engineering, and analysis, particularly with pharmaceutical R&D data (experience with data products, data models is a plus).
Competent in programming languages such as Python or R.
Experience with setting up and maintaining ETL workflows, dashboard development, and big data analytics platforms
Familiar with AI and advanced analytics for biopharma applications.
Presentation and Communication Skills:
Strong presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, including data scientists, IT professionals, and biologists.
Fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Interpersonal Skills:
Highly persistent and self-motivated, with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills in a cross-functional environment.
Capable of working independently while also being an effective team player.
Must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
It requires about 20% travel within the US and requires occasional travel to Europe.

About the role:
The Associate Project Manager, Global Logistics is part of the Global Logistics COE. This role will manage the planning & execution of projects with cross-functional teams focused on acquisitions and new product introduction across the global distribution network.
