Williams was previously a corporate and finance partner with DLA Piper for almost 17 years where he was a key leader in the firm’s international expansion into Asia and the Middle East; he spent 4 years in China and served as managing partner in Beijing, and opened the firm’s office in Doha, Qatar. Williams holds a JD from Columbia University School of Law, an MBA from the University of Maryland/Beijing University for International Business & Economics, a MSc in International Relations from The London School of Economics and Political Science, and a BA in Political Science from the University of Illinois. He earned a Project Management Certification from DePaul University and completed the DLA Piper Harvard Leadership Program at Harvard Business School.
