Established in 1954 as the original inventor of solvent cement for PVC pipe applications, IPS® Corporation has grown dramatically over the past 60+ years.
He introduced the valve to the United States in 1986 and was instrumental in the development of the ASSE Performance Standards 1050 and 1051, as well as gaining code approvals in state and model codes.
Acquisition of Water-Tite in 1987 formed what is now the Plumbing Products division
In 1988, Studor, Inc. was established as the distributor for North America.
Studor, Inc. was acquired by IPS Corporation in 1998.
In 2003, the Company expanded its product offering to include structural adhesives, developed its 10:1 MMA technology, and formed the SciGrip Structural Adhesives division.
Our facilities are ISO 9001: 2008 certified, and all products face stringent quality control tests prior to sale and distribution.
In 2009, continuing its history of innovation, IPS became the first company in the industry to offer environmentally-responsible, all low volatile organic compound (VOC) solvent cements, primers, and cleaners and completely phase out regular VOC products.
The company broadened the Plumbing Products portfolio to include drains and fittings through the acquisition of AB&A in 2010.
In 2014, IPS acquired Glue Warehouse, a leading on-line retailer for the countertop fabrication industry
In 2015, The company acquired the solvent cements business of Schwartz Chemical, based in Toronto
In 2016, IPS acquired Studor, Roof Top Blox, and became the exclusive distributor of Green Drain products
