As a Part Time Patient Services Representative Associate, your work will directly contribute to improving health outcomes for those who need it most. You will be the first point of contact for patients, offering them not only the critical logistical support needed to navigate their care but also a compassionate, welcoming presence during what can often be a stressful time. In this role, you can make a lasting impact on individuals and families in your community, helping them access and navigate the health services they deserve.
Primary Responsibilities
Greets and welcomes patients in person, providing a friendly and supportive first impression while directing them to their appointments and procedures
Collects and verifies demographic, insurance, and benefits information, interpreting results and obtaining necessary signatures
Checks in and interviews patients to complete required paperwork, including financial assistance applications and requests for information forms
Obtains and explains cost information to patients, collects co-pays and deductibles, and counsels patients on available financial assistance programs
Addresses and resolves claim issues or registration errors while documenting any issues and resolutions in the electronic medical record
Uses resources, tools, and procedures to complete registration for accounts and assigned work queues
Provides customer service for inbound and outbound telephone calls, ensuring clear communication and prompt resolution of patient inquiries
Assists in scheduling add-on appointments as needed
May mentor other staff, provide technical or functional direction, and gather medical record information as needed
Other duties as assigned, supporting the dynamic needs of the healthcare environment with flexibility and a commitment to patient care

Required Qualifications:
6+ months of customer service experience
Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products
Ability to work standard daytime hours, Mon-Fri for the first 3 weeks after hire in alignment with the training schedule
Ability to work an average of 20 hours per week in 8-hour day and evening shifts, starting between either 5:30am - 10:00am or 2:30pm - 3:00pm
Ability to work every 3

Responsible for providing patient-oriented service in a clinical or Emergency Department setting; performs a variety of clerical and administrative duties related to the delivery of patient care, including greeting and checking in patients, answering phones, collecting patient co-pays and insurance payments, processing paperwork, and performing other front office duties as required in a fast-paced, customer-oriented clinical environment.

As Patient Registration Specialists, we are often the first point of contact for our patients and their families. As such we value representing an important first impression. Primary Responsibilities:

ProHealth Physicians, part of Optum, has an immediate opening for a friendly, patient-focused and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist. This is a full-time position (40 hours), Monday - Friday. You must be available for 8-hour shifts between the hours of 7:30am - 6pm. Work schedule to be determined by the Practice Manager upon hire. May be asked to float to other practices for coverage.

Primary Responsibilities:
Greet patients and conduct check-in process
Collect or verify demographic information, including key demographic fields
Load or update insurance information as needed
Verify eligibility and flag appointment accordingly
Scan insurance card(s)
Collect co-payments and outstanding balances
Post payments received in practice management system and provide system-generated receipts
Schedule appointments using approved scheduling guidelines
Use call processing and other applicable functionality Epic messages and communicate with clinicians
Monitor daily reminder call logs; conduct outreach to patients requiring appointments; contact patients who, "no show," for follow up appointments for chronic conditions or preventive care
Monitor administrative tasks in Epic and respond timely
Scan and index documents into Epic; ensure that necessary documents, lab results, etc. are available in advance of patient visits
Close payment batch(es) at the end of each shift, assemble, and balance batch(es) according to ProHealth cash control procedures
Assist coworkers as needed to ensure smooth office operation and delivery of excellent service through teamwork
Demonstrate respect for patients
