Iron Mountain is seeking a strategic, results-driven, and experienced Procurement Professional - Material Handling Equipment to join our Global Procurement team.
In this role, you will be responsible for converting the enterprise strategy for material handling solutions and powered industrial equipment into measurable results across all global regions. You will lead the end-to-end sourcing strategy, supplier consolidation, and commercial negotiations to deliver year-over-year savings and reliable supply for our operations.
You will join a high-impact global function that acts as a bridge between enterprise strategy and field execution, partnering closely with Field Operations and Equipment Management to standardize how we source and maintain critical warehouse infrastructure.
What You'll Do
In this role, you will:
Define and execute the global category strategy for material-handling equipment and warehouse automation, translating enterprise objectives into a standardized, data-driven sourcing program across regions and business lines.
Lead end-to-end sourcing and supplier consolidation for PIT, conveyors, robotics, racking, and facility/MRO categories, including RFx execution, should-cost analysis, competitive bidding, and award recommendations across multi-site networks.
Negotiate and manage enterprise commercial agreements (MSAs/SOWs) with OEMs and service providers, securing competitive pricing, rebates, warranties, SLAs, price-protection mechanisms, and indexation terms that deliver sustained EBITDA and cash-flow improvement.
Develop total cost of ownership (TCO) and working-capital models to inform sourcing decisions, incorporating equipment cost, logistics, maintenance, spares, lifecycle, and payment-term impacts in partnership with Finance.
Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Facilities, EHS, Quality, Legal, and Finance to translate operational, safety, and compliance requirements into enforceable commercial standards and scalable sourcing guardrails.
Drive supplier performance and risk management, establishing KPIs and scorecards, leading QBRs, qualifying alternate suppliers, and ensuring reliable supply, service quality, and maintenance performance across global operations.
What You'll Bring
The ideal candidate will have:
Extensive Industry Experience: At least 7-10 years of procurement experience within a Fortune 500-level global organization, specifically managing material handling equipment and warehouse automation categories.
Strategic Sourcing Expertise: Proven ability to manage multi-region negotiations and standardize specifications across fragmented, multi-site networks to achieve global scale.
Operational & Financial Acumen: Strong knowledge of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) modeling, contract law (MSAs/SOWs), and the ability to translate operational needs into commercial requirements.
Communication & Language Skills: Full professional proficiency in English (required) with the ability to communicate across cross-functional teams; additional languages are considered a plus for global stakeholder coordination.

Job Requirements

· Must be able to obtain Forklift Certification to meet Client guidelines.
· Good verbal communication skills.

Shift Details
Work Shift: Friday-Sunday, 5: 00 AM to 5: 30 PM
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Unload inbound trucks, verify numbers and quantities, and stack boxes onto specific pallet patterns.
Drive forklifts and locate pallets into racks.
Exercise safe lifting techniques when bending, lifting, and turning.
Accept materials from other divisions/departments for ethylene oxide sterilization.
Verify catalog numbers, lot numbers, quantities, and expiration dates according to incoming procedures.
Complete JD Edwards transactions utilizing IBM Data Collection scanners to receive products.
Assemble/build sterilization loads according to defined palletization diagrams.
Place Biological Indicators (BI spores) into the sterilization load.
Initiate sterilization load record documentation.
Locate materials into pallet/BIN locations.
Operate inventory control systems where applicable.
Maintain an acceptable work area as per procedure and Quality System Regulations.
Support buying and selling processes and perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
Certified to operate a forklift and manual or automatic hand truck;must pass Lift Drivers Test.
Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Ability to read and interpret distribution documents and operational procedures/specifications.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions from supervisors.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED.
2-3 years of experience operating all material handling equipment, especially a stand-up fork truck (preferred).
Language Skills
Must have good oral and written communication skills to read and comprehend simple instructions in Basic English.
Mathematical Skills
Must be able to perform basic mathematical computations and apply them to various operational tasks.
Reasoning Ability
Position requires good logic and reasoning ability. Ability to define problems and find logical solutions. Must evaluate and resolve daily issues by exercising sound judgment.
Physical Demands
Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel;occasionally required to stand and reach with hands and arms, and lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
