Isaiah House is a faith-based, nonprofit with a competitive edge, delivering one of the most effective substance use disorder treatment facilities in the state of KY. This is a weekend shift of Friday - Sunday 7:30am to 8:30pm

Client Support ensures that clients needs are met and that the clients are following the rules set forth in the program guidelines while ensuring their safety. They will complete task in accordance with company policies and procedures.
SKILL SETS:
Good verbal and written communication skills

JOB SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS:
Maintain structure and routine by leading clients through their daily schedule
Ensure clients are where they are supposed to be
Work closely with Programs/Medical staff
Maintain client/facility safety through follow through of company policy and procedure
Driving clients to and from appointments
Pick up and drop off of new intakes and discharges
Ensure that any client wishing to leave, whether with or against staff advice, is transported to a safe location.
Keep current all paperwork and operations related log books

Wellspring Peer Support Specialist Summary:
Peer Specialists are active members of the Wellspring multi-disciplinary treatment team, providing safety and support for the wellbeing of clients. Peer Specialists provide supportive counseling and crisis intervention with the advice and consultation of the clinical team. Peer Specialists assist clients with their mental health recovery through problem solving and life skills training via individual and group sessions. Peer Specialists complete electronic documentation of services during each shift worked.
Salary:
$15 - $18 / hour
Position Details:
This position is part-time with evening and weekend hours required.
Special Skills and Requirements:
The Peer Specialist will identify as a mental health consumer and must be willing to share their personal experience of mental health recovery and support others in need.
The Peer Specialist will have a belief in recovery from mental illness and an enthusiasm for helping persons with disabilities, rooted in empathy and compassion, demonstrating a careful and caring attitude.
Candidates must be willing to share their personal experience of mental health recovery and support others in need. The ideal candidate will have experience providing peer support services to clients experiencing serious mental illness and substance use disorders.
A valid driver's license and personal vehicle are required for this position as the Peer Specialist will conduct home visits and transport clients to appointments.
A high school degree or equivalent is required.
The candidate will already hold an Adult Peer Support Certification and be certified by the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

SCHEDULE: Full Time - 12:30 p.m. - 9 p.m, some weekend work required
The Registered Alcohol and Drug Peer Support Specialist (RADPSS) will function as a role model to peers; exhibiting competency in personal recovery and use of coping skills; serve as a consumer advocate, providing consumer information and peer support for clients in outpatient and inpatient settings. The RADPSS performs a wide range of tasks to assist peers of all ages, from young adult to old age, in regaining independence within the community and mastery over their own recovery process. These duties apply to Revive Ministries, Inc. substance use treatment programs.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Will plan for, obtain, and evaluate services for the persons served.
As applicable, will follow the WRAP Recovery Plan, Crisis Response Plan and/or Crisis Plan when delivering services to the consumer or relevant collaterals.
The RADPSS will provide direct and indirect supportive services to consumers in the community to minimize risk and decrease the likelihood of an escalating crisis (Wellness Recovery Action Plans, Stress Management, Education, Resource Awareness, Recovery Oriented, Service Access, etc.).
The RADPSS will complete all required records as dictated by the agency.
Follows protocols and in alliance with relevant stakeholder expectations and requirements.
The RADPSS will promote agency philosophy within the community.
Lead group Peer Support sessions
Maintain records per Revive Life House Policies.
All other duties as assigned.
BACKGROUND/ EDUCATION:
Be eighteen (18) years of age or older;
Have a current or past diagnosis of a substance use, or co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders;
Have received or be receiving treatment.
Have a high school diploma or GED certificate;
Demonstrate a pattern of recovery from a mental health, substance use, or co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders;
Successfully complete or be in process of completing the Registered Alcohol and Drug Peer Support Specialist training and supervision approved by the Kentucky Board of Alcohol and Drug Counselors.
Work in conjunction with the clinical team to coordinate services.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:
Must have knowledge of medical privacy and confidentiality (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act [HIPAA]); computer applications/software to include Microsoft Office programs/MS Outlook (e-mail), and internet familiarity.
Experience working with individuals and families who have various mental, behavioral, and substance abuse conditions.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
Follow all applicable regulations including KRS 309.0831 and 201 KAR 35:070. Registered Alcohol and Drug Peer Support Specialist
Successfully complete, maintain, and submit a minimum of six (6) hours of related training or education in each subsequent year.
Provide peer support services in an individual and group setting.
Use relevant personal stories to assist clients through experience.
Serve as a role model to the client.
Encourage client voice and choice during development and implementation of plans.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
The employee may be required to exert 21 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, or 11 to 25 pounds of force frequently, or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Job duties also require about 6 or more hours of intermittent standing or walking in an 8-hour workday. Sitting may be required only intermittently and occasionally. Stooping, bending, lifting, reaching, and carrying is required frequently.
Environmental Conditions:
The employee will work indoors and outdoors, sometimes in hot and humid weather or very frigid temperatures, depending on the season, in order to assist with inventory restocking, The employee may be required to travel independently from one location to another to work at a different location. This may result in bodily discomfort. The house itself is open and ventilated well with central heat and air conditioning. The person may work intermittently outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
Mental Demands:
There are several daily deadlines associated with this position, which may cause significant levels of stress for some individuals. The position must deal with the clients and staff daily on a variety of issues.
WORK EXPECTATIONS:
Minimum of 40 hours per week; occasionally must work 2-hour group on weekends.
Must be able to work well with other staff and clients.

Have a high school diploma or GED certificate;
Demonstrate a pattern of recovery from a mental health, substance use, or co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders;
Successfully complete or be in process of completing the Registered Alcohol and Drug Peer Support Specialist training and supervision approved by the Kentucky Board of Alcohol and Drug Counselors.
Work in conjunction with the clinical team to coordinate services.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:
Must have knowledge of medical privacy and confidentiality (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act [HIPAA]); computer applications/software to include Microsoft Office programs/MS Outlook (e-mail), and internet familiarity.
Experience working with individuals and families who have various mental, behavioral, and substance abuse conditions.
SKILLS REQUIRED:

Successfully complete, maintain, and submit a minimum of six (6) hours of related training or education in each subsequent year.
Provide peer support services in an individual and group setting.
Use relevant personal stories to assist clients through experience.
Serve as a role model to the client.

Physical Demands:

The employee may be required to exert 21 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, or 11 to 25 pounds of force frequently, or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Stooping, bending, lifting, reaching, and carrying is required frequently.
Environmental Conditions:
The employee will work indoors and outdoors, sometimes in hot and humid weather or very frigid temperatures, depending on the season, in order to assist with inventory restocking, The employee may be required to travel independently from one location to another to work at a different location. This may result in bodily discomfort. The house itself is open and ventilated well with central heat and air conditioning. The person may work intermittently outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
Mental Demands:
There are several daily deadlines associated with this position, which may cause significant levels of stress for some individuals. The position must deal with the clients and staff daily on a variety of issues.
WORK EXPECTATIONS:
Minimum of 40 hours per week; occasionally must work 2-hour group on weekends.
Must be able to work well with other staff and clients.
Minimal travel required.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Serves as role model for clients by sharing own recovery process and teaching effective coping techniques and self-help strategies.
Assists clients in development of recovery plan, including psychiatric advance directives and crisis plan.
Provides education with focus on illness management and peer support.
Provides advocacy services on behalf of clients.
Implements and coordinates recovery plans for individual clients in assigned population group, including evaluation, consultation, and education, and follow-up services.
Provides case management, resourcing, service collaboration for individual clients as extension of case management services.
Serves as an active member of the client's treatment team, including participation in team meetings and treatment planning meetings
Informs supervisor, and other members of treatment team as indicated, of issues/concerns related to individual clients.
Maintains accurate, thorough records on all assigned cases and uses documentation to assist clients in evaluating progress.
Participates in required trainings to maintain certification.
EDUCATION
High school diploma or General Equivalent Diploma (GED) certificate
EXPERIENCE
Have current or past diagnosis of a mental health disorder
REQUIREMENTS
Eighteen (18) years of age or older
Attest to one year recovery as defined by Alcohol and Drug Treatment entity (AODE) regulations
Completion of Kentucky's Department for Behavioral Health, Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities (DBHDID) approved Adult Peer Support Specialist training
Completes, maintains, and submits to DBHDID, documentation of a minimum of six (6) hours of related training or education each subsequent year
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Position requires lifting of 20 pounds maximum, with frequent lifting and/or carrying of items weighing up to ten pounds.
Normal work tasks may involve exposure to blood, bodily fluids, or tissue.
May involve 24-hour on-call responsibilities.
