POSITION OVERVIEW
The Project Coordinator supports the planning and execution of projects by managing documentation, tracking progress, and facilitating communication among project managers, engineers, vendors, and customers. This role assists with scheduling, procurement activities, reporting, and issue follow-up to ensure projects stay organized and on schedule. The Project Coordinator helps maintain accuracy, clarity, and consistency across all project deliverables while contributing to smooth day-to-day operations.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage project data and documentation in Nexus and other project tools (logs, spreadsheets, trackers, meeting minutes).
Support purchasing activities, including generating Material Requests and coordinating with vendors.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure accurate requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
Monitor procurement-related issues such as shortages, backorders, and changes; communicate impacts as needed.
Assist with schedule management, including reviewing and interpreting project schedules.
Support change-order processes and ensure documentation is properly maintained.
Track billable hours, billing progress, and supporting documents for accurate invoicing.
Maintain an organized workflow and identify opportunities for process improvements.
Assist in monitoring budgets, efficiency, and procurement performance using analytical methods.
Learn and apply relevant industry codes and engineering frameworks (preferred).
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Contract Management, Procurement, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in a procurement-related role such as Procurement Clerk, Junior Buyer, or similar.
Strong organizational, prioritization, and multitasking abilities.
Proficiency with documentation, tracking, and data-management tools.
Effective communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
Ability to manage and interpret project schedules.
Familiarity with billing processes and tracking billable hours.
Strong analytical skills for monitoring budgets and procurement performance.
Knowledge of procurement processes including vendor relations, contract preparation, purchasing worksheets, and negotiations.
Ability to learn and apply industry codes and basic engineering frameworks (preferred).
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accurate documentation and workflow organization.

POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a highly skilled and technically driven Senior Design Engineer (P.E. Required) to join our engineering team. This role is central to delivering advanced seismic bracing designs, leading technical coordination, and supporting the development of custom engineering solutions for complex construction projects. The ideal candidate will bring deep engineering expertise, the ability to independently manage technically challenging assignments, and a strong commitment to accuracy, communication, and industry-leading performance.
As a senior technical resource within the Capitol Projects Group, you will oversee critical engineering deliverables-including seismic bracing layouts, point load calculations, submittal packages, and 3D modeling coordination-while ensuring all work aligns with ISAT design standards and applicable building codes. You will also mentor junior engineers, support quoting and billing processes, and contribute to improving engineering workflows, tools, and methodologies across the department.
This role requires an engineer with advanced knowledge of seismic design for non-structural components, strong AutoCAD-based skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering and an active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license are required for this position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Communication:
Prepare project technical communication including transmittals, coordination summaries, and follow-up correspondence through email and our project database, NEXUS.
Document all communication electronically in project folders and copy the Mentor PM as needed in NEXUS.
Project File Management
Maintain organized and accurate project files accessible to all project personnel.
Ensure file structures comply with company standards.
Submittals
Build complete submittal packages using provided project data.
Prepare both hard-copy and digital PDF submittals.
Legends
Create bracing legends for all trades and configurations, including CBC, IBC, and UFC code formats.
Seismic Bracing Layouts
Independently generate seismic bracing layouts based on ISAT Manual requirements, with minimal oversight.
Kit Takeoff Counts
Perform kit takeoffs, including accurate counts, nomenclature, and kit IDs for quoting or ordering materials.
3D Modeling & Coordination (Basic to Competent)
Model seismic systems using AutoCAD and coordinate using Navisworks.
Point Loads
Apply point load charts and compute vertical dead loads and seismic loads.
Produce coordinated point load layouts for submittal to the SEOR.
Expected rate:
Dead loads: 0.2-0.8 loads/min
Seismic loads: 0.5-1.0 loads/min

General responsibilities include:
Design and prepare engineering drawings using CAD/GIS software for municipal engineering projects.
Perform quantity and cost estimate calculations.
Perform engineering related tasks such as sanitary sewer and waterline design, roadway improvement design, technical plan review, right-of-way permitting, floodplain management, stormwater management, preparation of project reports, construction administration, and project funding coordination.
Prepare construction specifications.
Handle client relations as needed.
Work closely with other V3 divisions on multi-discipline projects.
Qualifications:
Civil or Environmental Engineering degree required. P.E. registration preferred.
4+ years of related municipal experience required. Municipal consulting experience desired.
4+ years of related experience in civil, sanitary, environmental, public works, public administration, and/or a related field is required.
AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency required. Familiarity with ArcGIS and preferred.
