This is a highly visible leadership position, reporting to the VP Corporate Controller. Responsibilities:
Lead SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting
* Leads the preparation, review, and filing of all SEC reports (Forms 8-K, 10-Q, 10-K).
* Coordinates efforts with internal groups and external stakeholders for SEC filings.
* Reviews consolidated financial statements and other data for press releases.
* Evaluates the impact of new accounting standards and lead their implementation.
* Advises on technical accounting matters and complex business transactions.
* Leads the development, implementation, and maintenance of global accounting policies.

Lead Compliance & Controls
* Leads the SOX PMO function.
* Ensures ongoing SOX compliance.

Lead Consolidation and Monthly Close Processes
* Develops consolidation process and systems to enable a fast and efficient monthly close.
* Leads the review of business unit balance sheets, key financial metrics, and global finance policy compliance.
* Provides consultation to our business unit finance teams related to accounting and reporting topics; be the main point of contact.
* Oversees the worldwide monthly/quarterly accounting closes.

Daily Management & Team Development
* Develops and trains accounting staff on policies and procedures.
* Recognizes skill gaps of team and offer training opportunities to enhance competencies.
* Identifies potential successors for key roles and develop their capabilities.

Revenue Assurance
* Reviews proposals and advise the legal team on revenue accounting implications prior to contract execution.
* Examines contracts and modifications, to determine accounting treatment in accordance with ASC 606, and provide feedback on implications of contract language on revenue recognition and financial reporting and draft technical accounting memos to document positions as required.
* Reviews and posts revenue contracts and bundled elements to ensure the revenue allocation is appropriate and in accordance with ASC 606.
* Advises the Pricing, Sales, Billing, Collection, and Order management teams to ensure proper accounting rules and contractual terms are being applied appropriately.
* Oversees the month-end close process for all revenue-related processes and tasks.
* Work with FP&A and Sales teams to ensure accurate forecast of revenue and investigate and resolve any identified issues.
* Responds to quarterly requests from internal auditors for SOX compliance.
* Identifies opportunities for and implementing improvements to our business processes to help increase the efficiency and accuracy of order to cash.
* Performs contract reviews to identify any complex accounting issues and draft technical accounting memos to document positions.

Qualifications & Competencies:
* Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related degree
* CPA Required
* A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, preferably with a mix of public accounting and manufacturing experience
* Strong understanding and application of GAAP and SEC/financial reporting requirements including financial statements and financial statements footnotes.
* Deep knowledge of general ledger systems and foreign currency translation
* Attention to detail and accuracy is a must.
* Ability to understand issues, demonstrate resourcefulness and pro-actively resolve problems and manage multiple projects in a timely manner.
* Strong interpersonal skills
* Excellent planning and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast paced and limited resource environment.

CoStar Risk Analytics, located in Boston, MA, works with market participants across the commercial real estate (CRE) lending spectrum. Our solution provides lenders with the ability to better target business, appropriately price loans, make informed approval of credits, actively manage their portfolio with robust stress testing and surveillance measures, assess refinance risk and execute with a disciplined framework. Our clients include both public and private lenders, ranging from commercial banks and financial institutions to pension funds and insurance companies as well as government and rating agencies.
What We Are Looking For:
CoStar Risk Analytics is seeking a dedicated and experienced Financial Analyst to join our growing team based in Boston. This role is instrumental in helping our Commercial Real Estate (CRE) lender clients derive maximum value from our market-leading CRE risk management technology. You will blend technical proficiency, product knowledge, and client service skills to support clients in managing their loan portfolio data, interpreting risk analytics, and leveraging CoStar's powerful tools to enhance their risk oversight and decision-making.
This position is located in Boston, MA and in office Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities:
* Serve as the point of contact for clients' inquiries, delivering timely and professional solution-oriented support.
* Guide clients on data requirements and ensure accuracy and completeness of their CRE loan portfolio within the platform.
* Assist clients in understanding product features, interpreting risk analytics and meeting regulatory requirements.
* Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular meetings and responsive support
* Collaborate with internal product and modeling teams to resolve complex technical and analytical issues.
* Collect client feedback to support continuous product enhancements.
* Develop and maintain documentation for internal processes and client-facing materials
Basic Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree, preferably in Finance, Real Estate, Accounting, or a related field from an accredited, not-for-profit University or College
* 2+ years of relevant experience in commercial real estate, banking, insurance, investment management, or accounting OR 1 year of relevant experience with a completed Masters Degree.
* Proven client-facing experience with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
* Evidence of strong academic performance in college
Preferred Qualifications
* Strong understanding of CRE lending, loan portfolios and risk management.
* Familiarity with data analytics tools such as SQL, Python, or similar platforms.
* Experience supporting or using risk analytics platforms or financial technology products.
