Pros of working at IU Health Inc

Can't think of a pro in this unethical company.

Cons of working at IU Health Inc

I worked at a surgery center. The surgeon gave me a speech about how important the patient is. As a surgical nurse, I noticed that the service date for their laser was a year off. I told the surgeon, Scott Hobson, before be made the cut over the patient's eye; he proceeded anyway despite my warning. He used the laser any way which created a SPARK over the patient's eye, and then proceeded to say, maybe we should have the laser serviced. When in post-op he said he was buying lunches for everyone and included me. I said I brought my lunch. While I was still in orientation, my manager told me that she didn't want to hear that a surgeon didn't want to work with me. Hmm. Additionally, an anesthesiologist lost an oxygen reading; having done this in the past, I went under the sterile drapes and tried to replace the pulse oximeter. My preceptor pulled and kicked me. The surgeon said I was not doing anything wrong. Her name is Beth Maddox and she was sobbing after we got out of the OR. I QUIT this organization and please do not ever work here. I say and mention these names because it is truth and not slander, because I know I could get in a lot of trouble for this. I left IU Health for my safety. For your safety, do not trust the management of this organization. I am risking a lot by putting my name here--but it is truth. Go elsewhere. Anywhere. Diane Gianfagna-Meils, BSN, RN

IU Health Inc Benefits

No perk is worth working with this company.

What do you like best about IU Health Inc's CEO and the leadership team?

I don't know the leader, however, the poor management stems from somewhere.

How would you improve IU Health Inc's culture?

Fire on the spot for incompetence.

How did you prepare for the IU Health Inc interview?

...years of studying and an accelerated nursing degree. Stay clear. And, if you do need the employment, watch your back from other employees and, especially, management. :( I don't like reporting anything bad, but it is truth: lies and sweeping your health and your patient's health under the carpet. This feels so good to finally go public. IU Health: Meet your maker.

What brings you the most joy at IU Health Inc?

Caring for people.

What's the diversity at IU Health Inc like?

I did not see a diverse workforce in surgery, perhaps a token African American scrub or surgeon.
