Full time Under routine supervision, the Capacity Procurement Representative is responsible the for negotiation of rates to meet load expectations while ensuring optimal margins. The incumbent will market the J.B. Hunt Carrier360 platform to carriers in order to increase efficiency and freight movement visibility. The incumbent is responsible for establishing a carrier base, ensuring freight is covered in a timely manner, and delivering best in class service execution.

Negotiate with carriers for the optimal purchase rate to meet revenue and profit margin goals
Act as liaison between internal business stakeholders and carriers
Manage all freight in transit by obtaining updates from carriers to accurately monitor movement and ensure on time pickup and delivery
Utilize the Carrier360 Platform to tender loads and maintain accurate records of shipments and customer details
Proactively communicate service failures to internal support teams to minimize cost and operational inefficiencies
Partner with internal teams to promote best in class service and ensure safety
Leverage the Carrier360 platform with carrier base to increase efficiency and automation
Verify authenticity of carriers and tracking prior to scheduled pickup
Remain current on supply chain information to gain understanding of market trends and optimize negotiation tactics
Understand customer service expectations to provide value with transportation solutions and updates in an urgent manner
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED with up to 1 year experience in transportation/logistics, business administration, account management, and/or equivalent military experience AND the ability to work across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends if needed

The expected starting pay range for this position is between $44,000-55,000.
Compensation:
Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company's bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.

Summary

Summary
The Supervisor Inventory reports to the Senior Logistics Manager and has overall responsibility for tracking incoming and finished goods materials, packaging supplies, etc. required in the warehousing and distribution of customer products. Provides accounting support regarding inventory issues. Reporting to this position are cycle counters and a clerk. The position requires direct involvement with daily operations and future projects to assure activities support facility goals and objectives.
Essential Functions
Support the facility Key Performance Indicators (KPI) consistently meet / exceed established goals, including but not limited to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety, quality, productivity, sanitation, and maintenance. Maintain daily reports that are established to measure daily, weekly and monthly KPI's.
Develop and maintain inventory control systems that meet ongoing and future facility needs
Develop and manage the facility cycle count program and the inventory recoup/repack/return/recycle program.
Provide floor support to Operations Supervisors and hourly associates regarding inventory issues and office support to the I/O Coordinators and receiving/shipping office personnel.
Facilitates and executes the hold process for local site
Track day-to-day facility inventory costs as they affect facility KPI's and effectively communicate results to appropriate team members
Ensure daily communications and shift meetings provide the necessary information for employees to do their jobs consistently well while making them feel a real part of the team

Key Responsibilities:
Provides consultation to mitigate risk and maintain compliance on business structure, workforce planning, succession planning, and other large changes impacting employees
Works closely with management and team members to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
Manages employee relations issues through effective, thorough, and objective investigations; engages leadership and compliance teams as needed
Maintains knowledge of standard employment laws and regulations to reduce risks and promote compliance; escalates cases to leadership and partner with the Legal department as needed
Fosters effective relationships with client groups to provide consultations on human relations matters and empower assigned leaders
Increases business and human resources acumen to identify trends and metrics in partnership with the Centers of Expertise teams to develop solutions, programs, policies and opportunities for learning
Executes company-wide Talent Programs within client groups, including, but not limited to, Annual Talent Review, Performance Review, and Competency Assessment, etc
Advises on and supports execution of all annual and adhoc human resources programs and practices including, but not limited to, Open Enrollment, Policy Renewals, Action Planning, Mergers & Acquisitions, etc.
Works with internal stakeholders to build manager and employee resources and tools to support business needs including guides, standard operating procedures, handbooks, etc.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma/GED with 2 years of HR Generalist, HR Business Partner, or HR Compliance experience OR High school diploma/GED with 18 months HR Generalist, HR Business Partner, or HR Compliance experience AND at least 6 months of transportation/logistics, business administration, or other professional J.B. Hunt experience
AND Demonstration of the following skills and abilities through education, certifications, military, or other experiences:
Ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas through various mediums
Ability to use time and resources efficiently and effectively
Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and shifting priorities and directives
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, I/O Psychology, or related field, and SHRM/PHR, or suitable equivalent with 3 years of HR Generalist, HR Business Partner, or HR Compliance experience
Understanding of FMLA, ADA, and WC processes
Experience with HRIS systems
Ability to develop new ideas and initiatives that improve the performance of the organization
The expected starting pay range for this position is between $61,354 - $76,692.
This position is not eligible for employment-based sponsorship.
Compensation:
Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company's bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.

This position will be trained to ensure compliance with DOT regulations. They are responsible for all drivers' compliance and company regulations while working with internal and external contacts to ensure the accurate planning, routing, monitoring, and delivery of freight and loads.
