In this role, you'll support both internal project teams and external customers by engineering, programming, starting up, and troubleshooting building automation and control systems. You'll also help guide Controls Technicians and support ongoing improvements to systems already in place. What You'll Do Prepare engineering submittals for automation projects Develop and implement control logic programs Create databases, graphics, and accurate as-built documentation Select materials and coordinate procurement needs Lead system startup, checkout, and commissioning Support design/build efforts and retrofit work Provide owner training to ensure systems are used effectively Mentor Controls Technicians and provide second-level on-call support for building emergencies This role is primarily field-based and works closely with the Automation Controls Manager. Position Overview The Construction Project Engineer will support day-to-day field operations on active construction projects. This entry-level role is ideal for recent graduates or individuals seeking to begin a career in construction management and engineering. The Project Engineer works closely with superintendents, project managers, subcontractors, and trade partners to ensure that project activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project goals.
