Senior Sourcing Operations Specialist

As the Senior Sourcing Operations Specialist, you'll act as an independent contributor while you collaborate across sourcing operations and procurement as the subject matter expert in the tools and processes utilized to support strategic sourcing activities. These include preparing and conducting RFXs, creating bid sheets, conducting bid analysis, reporting on projects, engaging with suppliers and internal business stakeholders, processing contracts and updating all relevant systems in compliance with company policies. You'll also lead efforts to standardize sourcing templates and processes, driving continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
This role is hybrid, which means you will be required to work some days on-site at the Best Buy location listed on this posting and some days virtually from home or other non-Best Buy location. The specific work arrangements vary by role and team. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.
What you'll do
* Lead initiatives focused on process improvement, cost-savings and special projects
* Execute various sourcing tactics including RFI, RFQ, RFP, eAuctions, Collaborative Requisitioning and 3 Bids & a Buy
* Support category managers in contract related activities such as drafting and processing extensions, amendments, exhibits, NDAs and Master Service Agreements
* Ensure accurate data capture and proper project closure in alignment with team standards
* Manage the CAF/DocuSign routing process in accordance with applicable policies
* Collaborate with the Sourcing Operations Sr. Manager and category managers to assess project requirements and determine the appropriate level of sourcing support and prioritization before assigning projects to team members
Basic qualifications
* 1.5 years of experience in procurement, business, sales, finance or related fields
* Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel (pivot tables) and Word
* Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and adapt to changing priorities
* Basic understanding of strategic sourcing
* Strong ability to manage and prioritize work while receiving direction from multiple stakeholders
Preferred qualifications
* Experience using eSourcing platforms such as SAP Ariba
* Ability to influence peers and stakeholders without formal authority
* Familiarity with the 7-step sourcing process and category management
* Strong organizational, collaboration and communication skills (both verbal and written)
