Established in 1953, J. J. Keller & Associates, Inc.® first opened its doors in Neenah, Wisconsin as a one-man consulting shop.
Founded in 1953 by John “Jack” Keller, J. J. Keller was initially a one-man regulatory consulting, warehousing, and insurance underwriting operation.
As a privately held, family-owned company since 1953, J. J. Keller & Associates, Inc. has grown to one of the largest employers in Northeastern Wisconsin with more than 1,500 associates serving 560,000+ customers, including 90% of the Fortune® 1000.
1956 Son Robert L. Keller joins company, followed by his brother James J. Keller two years later.
1958 J.J. Keller & Associates is incorporated.
J.J. Keller expanded through growth in its safety-publishing niche, entering regulation compliance publishing in 1970.
1983 Net sales reach more than $10 million.
In 2000, J.J. Keller joined with Advance Online, Incorporated, a web-based safety-training solutions company, to develop a dozen new courses targeted at corporate employees and workers.
In 2001, J.J. Keller produced revenue in excess of $160 million from its 4,000-plus products and services.
With 90 percent of growth internal, J.J. Keller projected 2004 sales at about $150 million.
By the winter of 2006 total charitable contributions by the family and the company had topped $9.5 million.
