By 1972, Shreiber had distributors in Philadelphia and Shrewbury, New Jersey.
In 1986 Shreiber made frozen soft pretzels available to consumers through their local supermarkets.
J & J Snack Foods acquired ICEE-USA, a semi-frozen carbonated beverage manufacturer, in 1987.
As a division of J & J Snack Foods, however, ICEE increased its sales and operating income by more than 20 percent annually through the end of 1991.
