J. J. Taylor Companies, Inc., now headquartered in Jupiter, FL, was founded in 1958 by John J. “Joe” Taylor in Massachusetts.
In 1973, the Company acquired an adjoining distributorship that had both Knickerbocker and Miller Brewing Company brands.
In 1985, J.J. Taylor Distributing Company of Minnesota, Inc. acquired the beer distributorship originally known as East Side Beverage.
In July 1997, J.J. Taylor Distributing Company of Florida, Inc. acquired the local Miller distributorship in Tampa, Florida.
In order to permit a better consolidation of brands in the state, the Massachusetts distributorship was sold in 2002.
