The Customer Service Representative facilitates internal and external customer satisfaction. Our Allentown Division is looking for reliable and dependable Front Load Drivers to become valued employees on our solid waste collection team to support our ongoing success in a family-like environment. JOB SUMMARY: To operate a Front Load trash truck in accordance with D.O.T. regulations and Company policy. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Drives a truck according to established subscription routes or municipal territories, servicing all assigned customers courteously and timely. Operates the truck according to local, state and federal D.O.T. observing all traffic laws and safety regulations. Transports and dumps municipal trash at a regulated transfer station or approved landfill. Check in with dispatch to insure all stops are picked -up. Must get approval from dispatch before returning to the shop Obtain load weight tickets and sign for load. Maintains any related records required, e.g. driver's log, route sheets, work orders, special request work, missed logs, etc Cleans truck cab and body daily. Performs daily all duties and inspections identified in the vehicle pre and post trip Vehicle Condition Report. Reports any maintenance malfunctions on the Vehicle Condition Report and reports it to the maintenance shop supervisor. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: May be required to fill in driving a Dump Truck, Rear Load or Roll Off trash vehicle if properly trained and approved for the same. The Maintenance Supervisor position requires independent judgement and accountability to maintain all equipment and supervise the maintenance functions at our Souderton division. The Maintenance Supervisor oversees fleet maintenance to ensure DOT compliance and safety, is responsible for scheduling and coordination of service schedules, and supervises mechanics, welders, and other shop personnel. This position will also require the ability to perform repairs to equipment during 2nd shift. Essential Functions: Maintains the divisions fleet of trucks and equipment by scheduling and overseeing repairs, preventative maintenance, service schedules, and analyzing equipment repairs and to identify and recommend areas for improvement. Anticipates service problems and develops contingency plan(s) to minimize downtime to equipment. Is responsible for ensuring inspection requirements are met in accordance with DOT regulations. Supervises a staff of mechanics, welders, paint, and body repairers. Sets schedules, assigns tasks, provides training and direction in all matters related to maintenance of the fleet. Maintains a full-service maintenance vehicle (service truck) and assigns crews for on road repairs. May be required to perform service calls during 2nd shift. Conducts research into recommended repair techniques and parts to be used based on type of equipment. Works with OEM manufacturers, suppliers, and vendors to keep current with latest methods of repair. Responsible for ensuring proper housekeeping, organization of shop facilities, tools, and equipment. Our Nanticoke Division is looking for reliable and dependable Driver Helpers to play a critical role on the solid waste collection team. The Helpers on this team will be leaving out of the Dunmore Division location. This position requires you to ride on the back of a trash truck and perform several essential roles, such as assisting the driver to safely navigate the truck, frontline customer service, and collect curbside waste and/or recycling in a safe and efficient manner.
