Essential Functions: The Estimator will assist the Estimating team in all aspects of the bid/estimating process from the review of plans and specifications, estimating material cost and craft labor productivity, soliciting and negotiating prices from subcontractors/suppliers through the completion of the bid/estimating effort for a variety of water/wastewater treatment and infrastructure projects. Responsibilities: Pre Bid: * Performs quantity take-offs * Applies self-perform labor man-hours and productivity to estimates * Obtains competitive commodity pricing and solicits quotations for any specialty equipment and material * Directs, coordinates and provides access to information and documents to subcontractors and solicits subcontractor's bids * Performs reviews with subcontractors and vendors to verify scopes of work and ensure scope and price are complete * Evaluates the lowest cost, qualified subcontractor/bid * Communicates with engineers to clarify scope of work, materials, schedule requirements and documents these clarifications * Proposal development * Actively participates in the internal estimate review process * Assists with final assembly of estimate including proposal presentation Post Bid: * Collects and organizes all bid information for future reference * Prepares summary of bid hand-off on successful bids * Explains scope and cost estimate for project presentation * Aids in maintaining historical data * Participates in buy-out of subcontracts and material purchase order * Supports project management team in pricing and negotiating change orders * Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the manager or his/her designee Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering or related field or comparable field experience and training * Minimum of eight (5) years construction experience with at least four (2) years estimating in water/wastewater or heavy civil industry * Design-build and Construction Manager at risk experience a plus * Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) as well as the use of the internet * Timberline experience desirable * Planswift experience helpful. * Must have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills * Strong attention to detail * Ability to work independently and as part of a team Working Conditions: 100% of the time is spent in the office environment utilizing computers (frequent use of MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Timberline, Plan swift) telephones, and general office equipment. The Scheduling Manager provides technical assistance in creating and updating CMP schedules at all phases of each project throughout their duration, from conceptual states to project closeout and may be involved in the development of proposal level schedules for project pursuits. The Scheduling Manager will be Sundt's in-house scheduling expert, coordinating the CPM schedule creation and updating tasks with the project team. They will assist project teams with initial schedule development, conduct peer reviews of project schedules, and assist in schedule updating, troubleshooting and revisions throughout the life of a project as needed by the project team. The Manager will be responsible for customizing reports and other modifications inside of the Primavera application to adhere to the Sundt Way. Key Responsibilities 1. Assist the project teams with the incorporation into the CPM schedule the effects from design conflicts and clarifications. 2. Assists in the development of claims by providing analysis of the project CPM schedule performance. 3. Assists the project team with the management of the CPM schedule for the successful execution of the work, including the coordination of the means and methods, manpower, equipment and material resources required to accomplish this goal. 4. The PENTA Building Group is searching for General Superintendents to join our Mission Critical team in Phoenix, AZ! This role will be a major contributor to our growing efforts in the Data Center/Mission Critical market sector. Relocation packages, travel stipends, and bonuses offered for out-of-state candidates. A PENTA General Superintendent is responsible for leading all field operations across one or more mission critical projects to ensure safety, quality, schedule, and budget objectives are achieved. This role provides overall direction to Superintendents and field teams while partnering closely with Project Management to deliver high-performance facilities such as data centers and other critical infrastructure. The General Superintendent sets the tone for field execution, safety culture, and operational excellence across all mission critical projects. A PENTA General Superintendent on mission critical projects will also: Lead and manage overall field operations for multiple mission critical projects. Monitor daily activities, productivity, and sequencing to ensure schedule compliance and efficient workflow. Support Superintendents in problem-solving and coordination to minimize disruption to construction progress. Oversee project scheduling at both the master and short-term (Pull Plan / Weekly Work Plan) levels. Validate that field progress aligns with target production rates and project milestones. Support corrective action planning with project teams to maintain schedule integrity. Ensure field installations meet company quality standards and mission critical client requirements. Oversee implementation of QA/QC plans and coordinate with the QA/QC team to confirm compliance. Participate in field inspections and coordinate with AHJs (Authorities Having Jurisdiction) to resolve code and inspection issues. Participate in project startup and planning sessions, providing input on logistics, constructability, and sequencing. Build relationships with local jurisdictions and coordinate preconstruction meetings and site logistics reviews. Support procurement planning by identifying potential constructability and delivery challenges early in the process. Oversee field-level document management processes including RFIs, submittals, and construction drawings. Provide oversight to maintain organized, accurate field records and logs. Review project schedules, cost reports, and manpower plans for completeness and accuracy. Collaborate with Project Managers to align field progress with financial goals and staffing needs. Lead field coordination meetings and participate in OAC and BIM/VDC sessions as needed. Review and approve project logistics plans to ensure safe and efficient material handling and public protection. Review potential change orders, field tickets, and project impacts with project teams. Monitor subcontractor performance and identify financial or performance risks early. Mentor and develop Superintendents and field leaders to improve leadership, planning, and communication skills. Perform other duties as assigned to support the successful execution of mission critical projects. Successful candidates will prepare detailed take-offs, solicit quotes, develop cost estimates, and close out bids. You will have the ability to collaborate as part of large pursuit teams and provide consistent results under pressure. The EI/EII provides support for single large projects or multiple smaller projects. Primary duties include participation in bid efforts, working with teams on Design Build and CM at Risk delivery methods, and providing administrative support to the estimating department. Key Responsibilities 1. Entry level exposure to construction software but strong computer skills including the ability to use spread sheets, bid management, and online plan rooms. 2. Estimator will develop skills in Agtek, On Screen Take-Off, and advance to beginning HCSS use. 3. Perform basic estimating functions and position is primarily quantity take-off and vendor solicitation. 4. Attend pre-bid meetings and perform site walks. 5. Support estimating efforts by take-off of work and self-perform estimates for work that is primarily subcontracted out. 6. Assist in obtaining firm quotes for material suppliers, equipment and subcontractors. 7. Draft scope/proposal letters for bid and negotiated projects. 8. At times, some field engineering duties such as submittals, RFIs, and assisting field operations with is required Minimum Job Requirements 1. Four-year engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience. 2. Proficient use of all Microsoft Office Suite programs. 3. Experience levels for positions are as follows: a. Estimator I: 1-3 years of experience. b. Estimator II: 2-5 years of experience. 4.
