Shaan is a Co-Founder / Managing Member of B4L Capital Management and a Co-Founder of Jaanuu by Dr. Neela. Previously, Shaan was an investment professional at the Yucaipa Companies, LLC, a multi-billion dollar private equity firm focused on investments in the apparel, retail, consumer products and distribution industries. Yucaipa’s investments included apparel companies such as Barney’s New York, Sean John, Zac Posen, American Apparel and Scoop. Prior to Yucaipa, Shaan spent over five years as an investment banker (most recently at CIBC World Markets) where he assisted consumer/retail clients with mergers and acquisitions, bank debt offerings and high yield debt issuances. Shaan’s client list included industry leaders such as Lululemon, Skechers, GSI Commerce, Quiksilver, DSW and American Eagle Outfitters. Shaan graduated Cum Laude from the University of California at Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Arts in International Economics (focus on Japanese economy and language) and received his MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. For over a decade, Shaan has been an active member of Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Greater Los Angeles and the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
