How will you make an impact?
An Injection Molding Process Technician is responsible for setting up, monitoring, and troubleshooting plastic injection-molding machines. Their specialized knowledge includes materials, specific tools, and equipment. Key tasks involve dealing with inconsistent material, faulty equipment, human error, and preventing defects.

What will you do?
Performs inspection and review tasks to keep the process functioning at better than 95% yield.
Answers equipment alarms and documents changes as required.
Accomplishes repair of process/equipment as needed and directed by the daily priorities.
Maintains process efficiency by keeping all logs and information needed for production reporting current.
Performs daily mold cleanings as instructed in the Process Binders.
Performs shutdown and close-out activities.
Submits close-out/re-start data to Quality.
Works with Production Control to maintain the RTC calendar.
Executes all RTC events utilizing the RTC Checklist.
Perform Automation process/maintenance work as needed.
Enhances team efficiency by training and directing the training of less experienced personnel as designated by the Molding Team Leader.
Improves working conditions by providing supervision of the workplace environment with particular emphasis on safety.
Eliminates downtime by writing and processing work orders for/on damaged equipment requiring repair.
May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education
High school diploma or equivalent education
Injection molding certifications such as AIM, Routsis training, or RJG are nice but not required.
Experience
Experience operating and troubleshooting Plastic Injection Molding Press machines is required.
Demonstrated knowledge of injection molding machines, the injection molding process, and materials used is required.

In this role, you will be performing complex maintenance and repairs on electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and/or hydraulic plant equipment including injection molding machinery.
Day Shift 7am - 3:30 pm
Swing Shifts 3pm -11:30 pm
Pay: Up to $30 DOE + Quarterly bonuses based on performance

What will you do?
Performs routine preventive maintenance and emergency mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical maintenance on production systems and equipment, using knowledge of electrical-mechanical devices, circuitry, electronics, motors, wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
Troubleshoots, repairs, aligns, calibrates, inspects, and tests a variety of production systems and equipment.
Performing hydraulic, pneumatic, high voltage electrical, and mechanical repairs on Injection molding equipment.
Set up assembly line equipment within established parameters.
Assists in installing new equipment and in moving equipment to new locations.
Disassembles machines and parts and adjusts repairs or replaces defective parts and materials.
Uses a variety of basic hand and power tools and equipment including hand drill, bench grinder, and band saw.
Instruct the Production Team on the proper use of equipment.
Maintains appropriate maintenance and repair logs.
Cleans and lubricates parts and equipment as scheduled.
Learns all aspects of machine maintenance and becomes cross-trained in all areas of molding/assembly equipment.
Requisitions parts needed for completion of preventive maintenance responsibilities.
Support all company safety and quality programs and initiatives.
Other responsibilities may be assigned from time to time as needed, based on the evolution of the company and the requirements of the department/position.

In this role, you will:
Safety is a core value at Clorox. Therefore, all employees must perform all work in accordance with OSHA and Clorox safety standards at all times. This is to include following all basic electrical safety rules, all Clorox and Plant safety rules, and constantly evaluating work being performed and eliminating the risks associated with it. Further, correct any unsafe conditions that exist in the equipment under his/her care.
Troubleshoot basic electrical problems throughout the plant. This includes taking voltage and amp readings, tracing wiring, evaluating relays, testing motors, evaluating health of wiring, checking breakers and fuses, evaluating sensors, and determining the health of valves. If a problem is found, determine the proper course of action, and safely implement it.
Troubleshooting PLC problems. This includes connecting to the PLC, determining what component in the PLC or external to it is not functioning properly, determining the course of action, and safely implementing it. To do this, the technician needs to have a thorough understanding of the programs in the plant, the controls associated with each system and all the PLC product lines we use.
Troubleshooting motor and motor control problems. This includes determining if a motor, a motor starter, run relay, VFD or servo motor is functioning properly and is configured properly. If there is a problem, determine the proper course of action and safely implement it. The technician needs to have a thorough knowledge of all VFD's, and Servo motors used in the plant.
Inspect, test, troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain electrical equipment including but not limited to: motors (all types), starters, breakers, transformers, isolation switches, relays, fuses, resistors, air conditioning, valves, AC Drives, DC Drives, electrical cable, fiber optic cable, coaxial cable, conduit, receptacles, PLCs, heaters, control panels, lights & lighting panels, distributive controls, UPS, fire & emergency alarms, utility controls, disposal of bulbs, and other hazardous material.
Troubleshoot problems with HMI's software and hardware. Isolate the problem, determine the proper course of action, and safely implement it.
Inspect, test, troubleshoot, repair, install, calibrate, and maintain instrumentation equipment including but not limited to: transmitters (all types), valves, I/P, positioners, actuators, dampers, flow meters, and level sensors.
Inspect, test, troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain mechanical equipment including but not limited to pumps, pump & motor alignment, hydraulic, pneumatic, and conveyors.
Troubleshoot control network problems. Understand the architecture and parameters of the network for PLC's and Process databases and be able to fix the problems that will arise. This is to include wiring problems, corrupted file problems, failed component problems, and set-up problems.
Troubleshoot problems with quality inspection systems, case coding, and bottle coding systems. Determine proper course of action and safely implement it.
Maintain all electrical prints for all the systems that have been assigned. This is to include a copy at the panel, a copy in the central library, and a copy in a software format on the network. Ensure any modifications are reflected on all three copies and the revision date, reason, and person modifying are recorded.
Maintain all PLC programs for all the systems assigned. This is to include a copy at the panel, a copy in the central library and a disc back-up of the program.
Maintain all parameters for all VFD's and HMI's for the systems assigned. This is to include a copy at the VFD or HMI location, a copy in the central files and a copy in a software format on the network.
Determine all the parts needed for the systems assigned to him/her, determine their criticality, and ensure needed parts are in stock.
Provide electrical support to capital and internal projects. This is to include job walks, prints, job scopes, managing contractors and participating in meetings. Further, drive upgrades to the control systems in the plant.
Ensure compliance with the Controls Change Management System where non-emergency changes are approved and documented prior to the change being made.
Assist with training and sharing knowledge, experience, and learnings with other team members.
All paperwork must be completed, entered on the computer, and turned in daily before leaving.

Your role at Clorox:
At Clorox, we are seeking a qualified candidate for a Mechanical Technician/EIC position at our Atlanta West facility. Duties include following all Clorox Plant safety rules, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults, performing PMs, ensuring stock of critical spares, executing work orders. This facility utilizes automated packaging equipment and utilities to manufacture and distribute disinfecting wipes. The plant has a variety of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment that must be maintained and repaired
Successful candidates must demonstrate detailed working knowledge in many technical areas, have the ability, competence, and aim to troubleshoot these systems with minimum supervision to enable reliable manufacturing.
Starting Hourly rate: $38.86 with a shift differential for overnight hours. We offer an excellent compensation and benefits package.
In this role, you will:
Maintain, troubleshoot, analyze, and repair equipment to prevent, resolve, and eliminate various process failures and equipment breakdowns (mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, power transmission, electrical, controls, etc.).
Troubleshoot motor and motor control problems. The technician needs to have thorough knowledge of all VFDs, PLCs, and servo motors used in plants.
Clean work area after each job and maintenance of the workstation.
Utilize computer software (SAP, Microsoft Suite, Internet, Process Book, FactoryTalk, etc.) to perform several tasks (Create/Edit Work Orders, Look Up Parts, Researching Equipment, Email, Tracking Time, Troubleshoot Equipment, etc.)
Demonstrate a self-motivated work behavior requiring limited to no supervision.
Demonstrate a strong commitment to the plant non-negotiable.
Read and update technical manuals and drawings
Understand shaft alignment techniques/tools
Understand and maintain mechanical drive systems, lubrication, and various pump types.
Perform pipe fitting Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, rigging equipment, various man-lifts, and shop equipment (mills, lathes, band saws, presses, etc.)
Utilize fabrication and assembly skills to repair defective machinery using drawings, manuals, and/or sample parts to determine dimensions, set up requirements, etc., of the finished workpiece
Identify and install bearings, seals, belts, chains, and other parts/components of automated packaging equipment
Ability to deal professionally with people during times of equipment breakdown.
Demonstrate the ability to perform the following tasks using various shop equipment:
Turn down a shaft using a lathe.
Cut a keyway in a shaft using a milling machine.
Broach a sprocket.
Cut metal using a torch.
Basic stick welding.
Threading pipe with a hand and powered pipe threader.
Demonstrate a basic working knowledge of DC and AC circuits and the ability to read a schematic.
Demonstrate the ability to replace or adjust the following electrical devices.
Demonstrate the ability to locate I/O's on PLC from schematics.
Demonstrate the ability to use a multi-meter.
Knowledge of variable frequency drive operations.
Demonstrate a knowledge of motor control circuits.
Demonstrate an understanding of electrical device functionality.
Properly terminate wiring.
Ability to perform address and rung searches.
Follow ladder logic for troubleshooting.
Ability to read and update P&ID's.
What we look for:
Education and Work Experience: Industrial maintenance work experience of at least 5 years. Candidate can substitute successful completion of a two (2) year college curriculum in technical areas AND/OR vocational school certificates of completion of training in electrical or mechanical technical areas. Other vendor courses in machining, electricity, or welding. Wide exposure to various technical areas during past work experience will be evaluated on an individual basis.
Proficiency in maintaining, troubleshooting, analyzing, and repairing mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, power transmission, electrical, and control systems.
Thorough knowledge of VFDs, PLCs, and servo motors.
Ability to repair defective machinery using drawings, manuals, and sample parts.
Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, rigging equipment, man-lifts, and shop equipment (e.g., mills, lathes, band saws, presses).
Understanding of shaft alignment techniques and tools.
Ability to maintain mechanical drive systems, lubrication, and various pump types.
Pipe fitting skills.
Electrical Skills.
Knowledge of variable frequency drive operations and motor control circuits.
Proficiency in following ladder logic for troubleshooting and reading/updating P&IDs.
Ability to respond appropriately to stakeholders at all levels.
Integrity in dealing with people during equipment breakdowns.
Self-Motivation and Work Ethic- proven self-motivated work behavior requiring limited supervision.
Strong dedication to plant non-negotiable and company policies.
Ability to understand and evaluate equipment operation to detect or anticipate malfunctions.
Candidates should have computer skills using all the appropriate business computer programs such as Microsoft Office. Experience with computerized maintenance management systems such as SAP is preferred but not required.
Candidate's experience or familiarity with servo motion control systems is preferred but not required.
