JOB SUMMARY Performs a variety of duties related to the development of a cost efficient, capable process for new and existing molds providing technical expertise on molds and processes. Provide integration and qualification of manufacturing work cell systems. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Design / Develop new mold processes leading to rapid mold qualification and customer approval Insure developed process is robust by performing standard process development tests such as gate seal off, balanced fill study, design of experiments, process parameter sensitivity study etc. Participate in mold design reviews Document fully and record mold process and process development data. Ability to use in mold instrumentation to analyze process and provide additional documentation. Responsible for the set up of Molds, EOAT's, material, material drying and any additional requirements for process development / sampling. Ensure samples are provided to required recipients. Follow established processes to maintain organized material inventory Assist in set up and qualification of integrated work cell manufacturing systems. Work as a team with the mold shop to recommend improvements, revisions and repairs to new molds. Work with the Metrology Lab to achieve customer product dimensional requirements. Work with NyproMold's customers during the mold qualification process to ensure all customer requirements and expectations are achieved. This may in some situations require working a flexible schedule. Assist in new mold startup in production facilities when requested. Track project hours worked and record and report in a timely manner Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Report customer complaints and product non-conformances to Group Leader for disposition. Adheres to all NyproMold work procedures and quality policies Observes all health and safety requirements and maintains work area in a neat and orderly condition.     As a Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for the repair and upkeep of equipment and facility. Activities include both planned and predictive maintenance and breakdown repair. Position activities may include, but are not limited to: ● Consistently working in a safe manner with regard to self, co-workers, and manufacturing systems. ● Locating and diagnosing failures, replacing defective components, and performing troubleshooting using standard equipment, detailed drawings, diagrams, sketches, specifications, prints, manuals, and verbal and/or written instructions. ● Repairing and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment such as pneumatic tools, motors, conveyor systems and production machines and equipment using testing instruments, hand and power tools and precision-measuring instruments. ● Performing a wide variety of functions such as installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment for generating, distributing, and utilizing electrical energy. Using instruments to test circuits and replace or install new power, light, electronic and control circuits. ● Troubleshooting electrical malfunctions, inspecting circuits and wiring for shielding and grounding, and testing electrical equipment for safety and efficiency. ● Repairing complex electrical equipment, including motors, switches, switchboards, electrical mechanisms, automated machines, controls, panels, relays, circuit breakers, communication systems and alarms. ● Working from schematics, drawings, layouts, or other specifications to locate and diagnose trouble in the electrical system or equipment. ● Utilize PLC to troubleshoot faults with automated lines to determine cause and corrective measures. ● Improvising acceptable fixes to get equipment running promptly. ● Assisting engineers in diagnosing problems and suggesting corrective action. ● Properly inspecting and maintaining shop equipment, in accordance with OSHA regulations. ● Preparing new machines and production equipment for operation. ● Following a strict preventive maintenance schedule to lessen exposure to downtime related to repairs and maintenance. ● Maintain a clean, safe work area and adhere to all safety policies. ● Performing general housekeeping tasks and waste removal within the department/group and assists other areas as required. ● Continuously reviewing current processes and searching out improvement methods to improve product/process quality and reduce waste, rework, and unnecessary work that adds no value to the work or process. ● Assisting and supporting other team members in meeting department and site goals. ● Contributing and participating in team decision making. Provide support in project work and other special requests. ● Providing support to the production team to produce superior quality materials that meet/exceed client needs. This role supports the needs of manufacturing and facilities to ensure both are in top working order. ● Other tasks as assigned by your supervisor. You will also provide matrix supervision to a large group of Field Engineer personnel in handling all aspects of these businesses in dealing with customers in the power industry. **In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:** + Provide advanced process tuning for Boiler or BOP processes. + Work with plant operations teams, while at site, to ensure effective tuning of plant processes for optimized productivity of steam and electricity. + Develop and implement startup and tuning activities for major retrofit projects. + Generate and store tuning reports for all site tuning. + Work with stimulation group to startup and tune high fidelity systems for different customer units. + Conduct site acceptance and performance testing for major retrofit projects to meet contractual performance targets. + Apply highly specialized knowledge and skills in an advisory or technical assistant role to engineering and management teams on complex technical or related problems. + Contact customers to review and promote their needs for service, maintenance contracts, system adds, and stand-alone system requirements. + Develop and advise the implementation of "engineered system" projects or system adds using current and non-current technologies. + Provide project management on large projects during installation, start-up, or where it is required to supervise our subcontractors (such as system installers). + Provide recommendations for hiring of Field Engineers and participate in interviews, performance evaluations, etc. + Analyze, investigate, and resolve customer warranty and policy claims.
