As a Production Planner at our Auburn Hills, MI facility, you will serve as the customer interface for demand planning and shipment coordination. You'll be responsible for developing a feasible operational plan, ensuring successful execution, and driving continuous improvement in planning metrics. Your role is essential in aligning production schedules with customer expectations, minimizing liability, and supporting revenue goals through proactive planning and collaboration.

What will you do?
Collaborate with Business Units (BU) and customers to develop a demand plan through the Demand Management Process.
Create a Master Schedule based on resource analysis, including material and capacity sizing.
Load the Master Schedule into Jabil's ERP system.
Develop and maintain a feasible production plan and work closely with operations to ensure successful execution.
Generate revenue forecasts and monitor actual performance, initiating corrective actions and recovery plans as needed.
Monitor planning metrics and drive continuous improvement.
Comply with all procedures within the company security policy and the rules of the road.

SUMMARY
Independently troubleshoots complex test equipment and product; provides training and assistance to other Technicians; collects and interprets test data. Fabricates and builds test equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Reads and interprets technical schematics and diagnostic guides to determine the correct functioning of circuit boards/components and for troubleshooting
Troubleshoots electrical issues down to a component level
Operates hand and power tools to fabricate using metal, wood, plastic, etc.; follows equipment designs or blueprints for fabrication
Troubleshoots complex problems on circuit boards and systems
Analyzes and repairs malfunctions in test systems, including test equipment
Repairs, upgrades and installs test software at workstation computers
Utilizes electronic components (e.g. resistors, transistors, etc.) and testing equipment (e.g. oscilloscopes, counters)
Trains and assists ET I's and Test Engineering Operators; monitors and provides feedback to leadership on performance of ET I's and Test Engineering Operators
Communicates to all team members on the status of test systems and test processes related to production; escalates downtime to appropriate personnel
Ensures an adequate supply of testing equipment and parts are available in inventory
Supports Lean and Six Sigma Initiatives
Works safely and complies with Environmental Health and Safety standards and work practices along with all other work rules.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Associates in Electronics, Technical Certificate or similar and at least 1 year of work experience
OR equivalent combination of education, work experience and technical expertise
Advanced computer skills, including basic networking
Strong analytical, interpretive, and problem resolution skills
Must obtain and maintain IPC and soldering certifications (certification training provided in-house)
Ability to:
work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
work under tight deadlines with frequently changing priorities and interruptions
effectively present information and respond to questions from coworkers, managers and customers
define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
