We’re not exactly sure! Sometime in the 1930’s.
In 1938 his father opened a Used Car Lot on Livernois, and young Jack would go there after school to work.
On February 14, 1939 they actually sold out of cars.
They dated, married in 1948 and started their family.
In March of 1975 Spitler-Demmer Ford became Jack Demmer Ford, when the Spitler's interest was bought out by the Demmer's.
Jack Demmer Lincoln (previously Jack Demmer Lincoln Mercury) has been family opened and operated since 1998.
On December 21, 2000 two Dearborn locations opened as Jack Demmer Lincoln-Mercury and Jack Demmer Collision Center and the Farmington location closed.
Two years later, in the fall of 2000 the Demmer's had the opportunity to acquire Krug Lincoln-Mercury in Dearborn, one of the largest Lincoln-Mercury Dealers in the country.
