What You Need:
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
Proficiency operating powered industrial trucks (PITs), with 2+ years of experience (preferred)
OSHA or employee certification for PIT operation (preferred)
Safe, verifiable operating history (appreciated)
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs independently and heavier weights with assistance
What You'll Do:
Safely operate PITs such as counterbalance forklifts and order pickers to transport and organize merchandise
Unload incoming stock, pick orders, and load outbound trucks to meet store needs
Perform daily PIT inspections and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety regulations
Operate RF scanners as directed by supervisors
Maintain a clean and organized warehouse by sweeping, dusting, and mopping as needed
Adhere to all company safety rules and participate in required training programs
Additional Requirements:
Frequent bending, stooping, climbing, and pushing/pulling
Constant sitting and fine hand/wrist manipulation (steering and controls)
Occasional walking and standing
Comfortable working in varying warehouse temperatures, including indoor and outdoor environments

Able to safely operate equipment such as shrink wrappers, banding equipment, auto tape dispensers and other related equipment used in material handling / packaging / storage
Prior training or certification for fork lift operation

REPORTS TO: Team Leader
BASIC FUNCTIONS: Responsible for operation of equipment and job duties related to the warehousing and shipping of all production, including preforms and bottles.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Make sure that unit loads that leave the palletizer are properly plugged and that strap and wrap are applied according to specifications. If the unit is tagged with a label, assure that the information on the label is correct and that the labeling equipment is operating properly.
2. Supply pallets, top frames, and tier sheets to the palletizers. Reload equipment with strap and wrap as necessary.
3. Notify the maintenance team whenever equipment is malfunctioning. Provide information to the maintenance team that may assist them in resolving the problem.
4. Place bottles and preforms in the warehouse for storage. Assure that products are stored in the correct location and that product is correctly labeled and packaged according to SQMS standards. Report any damaged product in the warehouse to the Team Leader. Supply preforms to the blowmolding area as needed for production, and dump preforms into the hoppers as instructed on the Production Schedule.
5. Load preforms, bottles, and other items as needed onto trucks for shipment. Assure that all products are not damaged or obviously defective prior to shipment. Talk with customers regarding shipment of loads in the absence of the dispatcher. Unload all incoming freight, as needed.
6. Unload preform and bottle dunnage shipments and store in the proper areas. Build dunnage to ensure the consistent operation of palletizing equipment. Follow all hygiene specifications.
7. Maintain a clean working environment and follow all safety guidelines and policies at all times. Report any unsafe conditions to the Team Leader. Inspect all equipment, including fork trucks, per established guidelines.
8. Perform other duties as requested by the Team Leader.
9. Comply with all activities related to product safety, legality, regulatory compliance and quality.

o Performs a variety of other clerical duties in support of the department including production of daily shipping paperwork, answering telephone and taking requests and messages, inventory control maintenance, preparation of miscellaneous pre-pack kits and other mailings, quarterly and other mailings, and incoming and outgoing deliveries and shipments.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
High School diploma or GED is required.
Certification:
Requires forklift certification upon attainment of the position.
Experience:
Requires one to three years of warehousing experience.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Requires:
o Have good communication skills with the ability to follow verbal directions and written procedures to determine method of shipping. Ability to complete and maintain documentation logs and communicate via email and on the phone with others.
o Physical ability to reach, push, pull and lift boxes weighing 5 to 600 pounds in raw material receiving, 5 to 300 pounds in component receiving and 5 to 75 pounds in distribution with the use of powered industrial equipment.
o Basic arithmetic skills to count/balance numbers of products and perform routine calculations.
Physical Requirements:
Drive/operateforklifts for the majority of the work shift. Push/pull/lift/roll products from 5 to 600 pound

The salary range for this position is $36,000.00 - $58,000.00.

It is not typical for an individual to be hired above the midpoint of the range for their role, and compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case.
