There's a lot of creative freedom and time to do things you're passionate about.
The politics of working in a government-run organization that is VERY top-heavy. Depending on your branch or your manager you could have a wonderful time or a horrible time working for the city.
Healthcare and pension are pretty nice, the best part would have to be the freedom I have at my branch to follow creative pursuits to make the space better.
