As Process CADD/BIM Designer on our design team in our Ohio offices, you'll play an active role in defining solutions for projects in the areas of Municipal and industrial water treatment, Conveyance, and various municipal projects. You'll create the models, drawings and BIM systems for others to build for local and national projects. The combination of your technical skills, attention to detail, and the guidance of an experienced engineering team, will lead you to develop sketches, models, drawings, and construction documents to support our projects. Your role will be working with our team of CAD Designers, Engineers, Project Management and leadership to provide accurate design models and drawings for various facility design projects by applying your diversified knowledge of Revit/Plant 3d and AutoCAD software. This position is for a CAD Technician with process piping, pumping, valving experience and for someone who needs little to no direct supervision to complete the tasks at hand. '- At least 4 years of experience using Revit and/or Plant 3d and AutoCAD for water market-related designs - An associate degree from an accredited technical institution or college in drafting or design - Familiarity working with central files and local files - Ability to graphically translate verbal and visual instructions into technical models/drawings - Ability to manage work-sets, control visibility, and familiarity in using various parameters in Revit and/or Plant 3d families and schedules - Experience with AutoCAD - Experience in Revit and/or Plant 3d experience loading specifications into models - Experience with process piping, pumping and valving CAD design for municipal projects including water and/or wastewater projects - A detailed understanding of different pipe materials/joint ends, valve types and functions, and pumping types and functions, as well as, piping supports, restraints and accessories - Computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications - Good written and verbal skills - Team player and enthusiasm - US Citizenship Ideally You'll Also Have: - Strong skills with BIM360, Autodesk, BIM 360 GLUE and Navisworks - Proficient in creating and updating templates and project set-up in Revit - Experience with MicroStation Open Plant - Hands on mechanical skills either through educational, professional and/or personal experience that can be leveraged into the design and construction for municipal projects Jacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer. You'll create the models, drawings and BIM systems for others to build for local and national projects. The combination of your technical skills, attention to detail, and the guidance of an experienced engineering team, will lead you to develop sketches, models, drawings, and construction documents to support our projects. Your role will be working with our team of CAD Designers, Engineers, Project Management and leadership to provide accurate design models and drawings for various facility design projects by applying your diversified knowledge of Revit/Plant 3d and AutoCAD software. This position is for a CAD Technician with process piping, pumping, valving experience and for someone who needs little to no direct supervision to complete the tasks at hand.
