Victor D. Grizzle is the chief executive officer and a member of the board of directors of Armstrong World Industries (AWI). He joined the company in 2011. Under Vic’s leadership, AWI shareholder returns have increased over 50%. Vic is proud to work with the talented team of AWI employees in growing the company by making a positive difference in the spaces where we live, work, learn, heal and play. He is passionate about how expectations in architecture, design and construction are shifting and evolving to prioritize healthy, sustainable building solutions. Because we spend 90% of our time in buildings, Vic is committed to helping to make our offices, schools, retail environments and other spaces, healthier and safer. Prior to AWI, Vic was Group President of Global Structures, Coatings and Tubing for Valmont Industries; President of the commercial power division of EaglePicher Corporation; and he spent 16 years at GE in expatriate assignments in Europe and Asia.Vic serves on the boards of directors for Franklin Electric, a global leader in the production and marketing of systems and components for water and automotive fuels, and for WAVE, the Worthington-Armstrong Joint Venture that manufactures suspended ceiling grid systems.Vic is a global citizen, traveler and outdoor enthusiast. He enjoys fly fishing, golf, hiking, kayaking and biking. He loves family and enjoys adventures with his three children ... skiing out West, cave diving in Belize, bungee jumping, para-gliding ... all of which must end with a barbecue and a good glass of wine.
