The Parking Associate will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while monitoring to ensure compliance with parking policies. This role supports the overall visitor and tenant experience by providing directions, event information, and assistance with parking operations, while also maintaining the safety, cleanliness, and functionality of parking facilities. The Parking Service Associate will assist with event-related traffic control, payment collection, and lot management, as well as support maintenance and administrative tasks related to parking program. This position requires independent judgment, professionalism, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. QUALIFICATIONS : The personnel selected for the parking enforcement associate position must have certain traits and abilities that enable them to achieve expected levels of performance. Some of the most important competencies are exercising sound independent judgment and maintaining a high level of customer service. Other areas include: Knowledge of geography of the area they are enforcing Knowledge of hazards and safety precautions Ability to use a handheld computer Ability to operate a motorized vehicle Ability to understand and apply parking regulations Ability to interact with others in a courteous and tactful manner Ability to walk for extended periods of time Ability to work in all weather conditions Must be 18 years of age or older at the time of hire Language skills: Ability to read, write, and interpret the English language Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, supervisors, and other employees of the organization. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS : Provide customer service by answering questions regarding directions, events, building locations, and parking policies. Issue citations and warnings for non-compliance with a computerized handheld computer or manual tickets. Impound, boot, or relocate vehicles as directed. This position requires the ability to work alone and therefore must exercise proper judgment, tact, and diplomacy in dealing with people. The schedule is set for Friday and Saturday 5PM - 11PM & Sunday 11AM - 5PM. Assist maintenance staff with duties related to parking program and facility upkeep and maintenance. This includes but is not limited to inspecting and assessing lots for maintenance issues, painting, cleaning, and repairing parking meters and pay and display machines, installing signs, signposts, and meter posts. Assist in the collection and security of all monies received through parking citation, multi-parking space, PARCS technology and any other means of collection parking revenues and fees. Assist event staff with activities related to permit sales during peak seasons. This includes but is not limited to data entry, collating mailings, and providing frontline customer service. Other related duties as assigned. Please not that Enforcement Associates are not sworn police officers and have no arresting authority. IMPORTANT JOB FUNCTIONS: License Requirement: The individual will only be required to have and maintain a valid state-issued driver's license, with a current address and acceptable driving record, if the individual is expected to be able to drive a company vehicle or drive on company business. Availability to Work: Special shift requirements, if any, will vary depending on location's hiring needs. If applicable, availability to work 2nd shift, 3rd shift and/or weekends may be required.
