Required Skills & Qualifications: •High school diploma or equivalent required. •Minimum 1-year prior experience in drilling and using the locating equipment to find any underground utilities. •Must have experience operating heavy equipment near active utilities. •Must have a valid driver's license (unrestricted) and acceptable driving record. •Pass a pre-employment drug test, background check, and MVR. •Must be able to operate the equipment safely. •Read and understand plans and specifications. •Must follow all OSHA, ANSI standards, as well as company rules & regulations. •Knowledge of basic computer skills. •Experience and knowledge of basic shoring methods Physical Demands and Work Environment •Must be able and willing to work outdoors, subject to inclement weather conditions •Must be able to maintain visual and audible contact with other crewman and all moving or stationary persons/vehicles/objects to ensure safe coordination of movement •Must be able to work around heavy equipment and machinery •Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time •Must be able to bend and lift and carry up to 50 pounds •Routinely requires extended periods of bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, lifting in awkward positions, standing, and twisting •Must be able to stand, walk, sit or be in other physically demanding positions for long periods of time •Must be able to work while wearing safety boots, safety glasses, hardhat, and any applicable safety gear Desired Qualifications: •Possession of a commercial driver's license (CDL) with tanker endorsement or a willingness to obtain the license. . •DOT Medical Card or a willingness to obtain one. •Experience with Ditch Witch and Vermeer is preferred.
