About the Job
As the Director of Operations, you'll be the driving force behind operational excellence across our specialty retail fleet. Reporting to the Head of Stores, you'll oversee the store operations team, empower our store teams, and partner closely with Field Leadership and the Brand Support Center (BSC) to streamline and innovate processes, and uphold our premium brand promise at every customer touchpoint. Your leadership will ensure that Janie and Jack continues to deliver an outstanding in-store experience with each customer visit.
What you'll do
Operational Leadership
Own, develop, and evolve store operational strategies, tools, and field communication.
Champion execution: Ensure in-store programs and processes are actionable, clear, and simple, enabling teams to focus on what matters most.

Payroll Management
Lead payroll budgeting, reporting, and in-season management, ensuring alignment with business goals and efficient resource allocation and strong financial performance.
Oversee Legion scheduling system with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
Leverage analytics and AI driven insights to optimize decisions.
People & Culture
Lead, inspire and develop the operations team to drive execution and consistently deliver operational excellence.
Oversee a team responsible for workload management, store development, field communications, and employee engagement - ensuring alignment, clarity, and consistency across all operational initiatives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Merchandising, Product) to ensure operational alignment and support key initiatives.
Be the voice of the field at Brand Support Center (BSC), advocating for store teams and customers.
Business Performance
Track and analyze KPIs, sales, and P&L performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
Partner with Field Leadership to maximize store sales, conversion, and profitability.
Customer Experience

Who You Are
Retail Operations Expert: 10+ years in retail operations or multi-unit leadership, including 3+ years at the director level in specialty or apparel retail.

About the job
The Merchandiser will be responsible for developing and driving the product strategy, assortment and financial performance goals. Working closely with the DDM , the Merchandiser will act as the representative of the customer in strategic decisions on the cross-functional team. We are seeking a highly analytical and collaborative Manager of Planning to join our team. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role at the intersection of Finance and Merchandise Planning, where you'll play a critical part in driving inventory productivity and gross margin performance.

What you'll do
Inventory & Margin Planning
Support the development of merchandise plans, including sales, inventory, markdowns, and margin forecasts.
Track and analyze key inventory metrics (turn, cover, aged inventory) and margin drivers (IMU, AUR, markdowns, shrink, freight).
Partner with Finance to build gross margin forecasts and contribute to the monthly forecast and budget processes.
Cross-Functional Partnership
Collaborate closely with Finance, Planning, and Sourcing teams to align on financial and merchandise strategies.
Communicate key insights and business risks/opportunities to Chief Commercial Officer and Chief Financial Officer.
Assist Head of Planning in aligning Open-to-Buy (OTB) and inventory flow with financial targets.
Reporting & Analysis
Prepare and maintain weekly and monthly reporting on inventory, sales, and margin performance.
Support post-season hindsight analysis to identify trends, lessons, and opportunities.
Provide ad hoc analysis and insights to guide decision-making.
Wholesale Planning
Develop and maintain merchandise plans specific to the wholesale channel, incorporating account-level forecasts and seasonal sales strategies.
Monitor order flow and inventory positions to ensure timely fulfillment and optimized in-stock levels.
Partner with VP of Wholesale to align wholesale targets with company-wide inventory and margin objectives.
Cash Flow Modeling
Build and maintain merchandise-related cash flow models to support financial planning and liquidity management.
Model the timing of inventory purchases, receipts, and sales to forecast working capital requirements.
Provide scenario analysis to assess the cash impact of changes in buying strategies, seasonal flows, and wholesale commitments.
Process & Tools
Contribute to the ongoing improvement of planning tools, reporting systems, and forecasting processes.
Ensure accuracy and consistency across data sources and planning inputs.
What you'll bring
Bachelor's degree in finance, Business, Merchandising, or a related field.
4-6 years of experience in Planning, FP&A, or related role in a retail or consumer business.
Strong understanding of inventory planning, gross margin mechanics, and financial forecasting.
Proficient in Excel and BI tools (e.g., Looker, Power BI), Python and SQL a plus.
Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills; comfortable working cross-functionally.

The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining Guest Services. The Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in the various tasks involved in the overall operation of a store, ensuring maximum sales and profitability by developing staff, controlling expenses and shrinkage as well as all aspects of merchandising and inventory control in adherence with all Company policies and procedures. The minimum age requirement for an Assistant Store Manager is 18. The physical demands of the job require in excess of 8 hours of standing, walking, climbing ladders and lifting up to 50 pounds. Prior retail and or management experience is required.
