What You'll Do
In this role you will be a part of the Inventory Management team that brings the financial strategy of our product vision to life by managing the largest financial asset of the company: our product itself. We are seeking a talented Senior Merchandise Planner to drive and implement financial strategies, to enable the achievement of the company's business goals. This position is responsible for driving the success of multiple product categories by creating a financial roadmap that translates the Merchant's vision into viable plans and profitable sales and productive inventory results across Omni channels. The ideal candidate finds joy in collaborating with cross functional partners and is creative in forecasting and financial planning. Responsibilities:
Develop and execute top-down and bottom-up merchandise financial plans that support department product strategies.
Create and present preseason sales, gross margin and inventory plans by channel, department, feature code and subclass that support product strategies.
Ensure reconciliation with financial goals such as sales, margin, turns and GMROI.
Complete open-to-buy activities at the channel and department level for all key metrics and present action plans during monthly OTB/MF meeting.
Calculate receipt needs based on inventories and rate of sale and present buying strategies and inventory investments to cross-functional leaders.
Recap weekly financial results and reporting for review by business partners, supporting required analysis and business decisions regarding margin and inventory optimization.
Analyze historical data and current trends, while partnering with merchant to develop and propose tactics in response to current business trends.
Lead and execute department promotional and markdown strategy.
Lead quantitative end-of-season analysis. Assess department opportunities, analyze performance data, and provide information & key highlights to merchants.
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders, including merchandising, production, allocation and field and digital operations.
Identify and encourage process improvement and support the implementation and acceptance of change within the organization.
What You'll Bring
Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years in a multi-channel Planner/Senior Planner role.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data and insights to drive informed decision-making.
Solid grasp of retail math and inventory planning concepts.
Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to identify and summarize the problem, question, or issue.

In this role, you will work closely with the Design team in driving seasonal trend development, including color palette selection, concept ideas, and key silhouette direction for each delivery.
What you'll do
Experienced in forecasting trends in fabric, color, and silhouette for the children's market.
Assist with line development from initial concept through production phases.
Implement processes to understand/anticipate the needs of the customer in order to exceed customer expectations and readily react to their needs.
Ability to be part of a team that designs 20-28 distinctly unique product assortments per year.
Adapt designs based on feedback, incorporating for finalization.
Present designs to internal leader/team as well as key cross-functional partners
Responsible for shopping the market for trend information, inspiration, and ways to continue to grow the Janie and Jack business, as well as, review competition as it relates to product, quality, and aesthetic.
Update linesheets throughout the season, both with sketches and color and ensure all information is accurate by collaborating with cross functional teams (including Color & Print, PD, Graphics teams).
Build and maintain collaborative and effective relationships.
Collaborate and communicate with key partners throughout the design process including Merchandising, Marketing, and Product Development.
What you'll bring
BS/BA degree with 5+ year's apparel design experience in the women's or children's market required.
Specialty retail experience preferred.
Highly motivated, passionate and results oriented.
Must have strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to troubleshoot problems.
Collaborative partner with a team-oriented approach and effective cross-functional communication.
Be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to meet deadlines and work with all levels of the organization.
Highly skilled in Photoshop/Illustrator is required.

About the job
The Assistant Merchandiser is responsible for supporting the seasonal product development process. The Assistant Merchandiser will provide critical reporting and analysis as it relates to current business objectives and will participate in the development and execution of different product groups. This person will perform in-season and hindsight analysis of selling trends by department and line as well as by classification, including size, color, silhouette, fashion, basics, hot/cold climates, and regional recaps.
What you'll do
Support the Merchandising team in building assortment through style creation and maintenance in all merchandising tools.
Maintain and run reports weekly and as needed by the merchant team.
Support the Merchant team with reporting on business on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis, including hindsighting in preparation for upcoming seasons.
