Conduct thorough cleaning and degreasing of break room and lounge room appliances, such as microwaves, refrigerators, and coffee machines, including the removal of expired food items in fridge. Specialized cleaning will include hard-to-reach areas such as ceilings, ceiling fans, high shelves, light fixtures that often require the use of ladders or extension poles. Perform periodic deep cleans, which involve interior/exterior window washing, carpet shampooing and refrigerator cleaning out. Identify and report any maintenance issues, safety hazards or needed repairs to facilities management team. Responsible for daily emptying of trash and recycling bins and ensuring proper disposal of waste. Replenish cleaning supplies after each shift. Ensure cleaning supplies are properly stored and in good working condition. Other tasks as assigned. Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or GED is preferred. Previous work experience in commercial/residential cleaning is advantageous. Combination of education and experience determined by hiring manager. Specific Skills, Competencies, and Qualifications: Prior cleaning experience is highly preferred. Attention to detail. Ability to work independently. Time-management skills. Ability to walk, stand, bend, climb ladders, reach overhead, walk for long periods of time as cleaning is physically demanding and lift (up to 25-30 pounds).
