Janitorial Duties
Before 4:00 PM:
Cover the main campus, including the Body Plant and Welcome Center
Restock supplies (toilet paper, paper towels, soap, etc.)
Perform routine cleaning of offices, restrooms, and common areas
After 4:00 PM:
Provide janitorial services in one designated building
Clean upstairs and downstairs offices and restrooms
Ensure all areas are sanitized before clocking out
General Cleaning Tasks:
Operate vacuum cleaners and other cleaning equipment
Clean office and breakroom areas
Maintain restrooms (cleaning, sanitizing, restocking supplies)
Collect and dispose of trash/garbage in office and breakroom areas
Provide consistent janitorial and cleaning services across assigned areas
Maintenance & Handyman Duties
Address minor facility issues such as leaks, light bulb replacements, and appliance malfunctions (e.g., refrigerators)
Perform routine inspections to identify maintenance needs
Report larger repair needs to management
Specialized Equipment Use
Operate the ride-on floor scrubber on Fridays to sweep and clean the main shop floor (approx. 1-2 hours)

This position is responsible for the operation of tools and equipment in a variety of customer work sites for providing industrial and/or environmental cleaning.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Strictly adhere to MPW Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.
2. Arrive at branch or jobsite on time, in uniform, properly groomed, mentally alert and physically able to work. Follow branch process for work schedule.
3. Set up jobsite including water blast hose, or vacuum hose, barricade tape and tags.
4. Use equipment such as, water blast gun, water lance, dry vacuum hose (6”and 8”), wet vacuum hose (6” and 8”), shovels, picks, automated tooling, aerial platform lifts and any other equipment needed.
