Cleaning tasks include: dusting, window washing, carpet cleaning, floor high speed and refinishing resilient floors and sealing cement floors, vacuuming, furniture polishing, spot cleaning of walls, refilling product dispersers, mop, scrub, sweep, sanitize and disinfect items and daily removal of trash and/or recyclables. External spaces include: entryways, sidewalks, stairways, swimming pool changing rooms and breezeways utilizing blowers, vacuums and power washers. Work assignments and areas of work may vary depending upon the department's needs. The incumbent is responsible for reporting unsafe and unsanitary conditions, secure buildings and areas. The Custodian is part of a team of Housing staff members that perform excellent customer service and support the Housing mission and values. The church custodian will ensure that all publicly accessible areas of the church are clean and ready for other staff members and the congregation to use. You will make minor repairs, change light bulbs, vacuum, sweep, and scrub floors, sanitize surfaces, and restock items, such as toilet paper, paper towels, and other supplies.
