Key Responsibilities

* Perform cleaning, disinfection, and maintenance of buildings scheduled by the Facilities Management supervisory team. * Replenish soap and paper supplies to ensure all pantries and restrooms are fully stocked with the necessary sanitization items.
* Stock and clean supply rooms and service carts. All areas where custodial items are kept are expected to be organized and tidy. Assist in the delivery of campus custodial supplies.
* Assist in on-the-job training of new staff on routine procedures.
* Performs cleaning functions specific to the assigned facilities and/or based on seasonal/project requirements.
* Conserve energy: night shift personnel should turn on only those lights in the immediate work area; turn off lights when leaving offices, classrooms, laboratories, etc., unless otherwise directed; close all windows, unless otherwise directed; shut off all faucets and report leaky and/or malfunctioning equipment to supervisor.

Requirements
0-1 years of experience in commercial / industrial / residential
Solid physical ability. (Standing, crouching, stooping, kneeling, lifting 50 lbs. daily.)
Some knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
Experience with pressure washer is a plus.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
Schedule
2nd shift 3:00pm - 11:30pm $16.50/hour
Initially, start with a part- time schedule.
Weekend availability is a MUST.

The Janitor will be responsible for the cleanliness of communal spaces, restrooms, workspaces, and outside areas as assigned and performs a variety of duties that involve sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, dusting and polishing of surfaces and floors; removing trash; re-stocking supplies; and cleaning restrooms.

Key Responsibilities
* Clean spaces, floor surfaces, and fountains/sinks/kitchen/coffee mess areas to ensure they are clean and sanitary
* return furniture and other items moved during performance to its original position
* Collect and dispose of items placed adjacent to waste containers and marked "TRASH" or similar
* All waste collected shall be disposed of in the nearest outside trash collection point
* Employee will ensure they are clean and sanitary
* Low area cleaning includes all furniture, partitions, radiators, equipment, railings, grills, ledges, sills, walls, doors, glass in partitions and doors, light fixtures, miscellaneous hardware and bright metal work, chalk boards, erasers and trays, and framed pictures to a to a maximum height of 7'-0" above floor level
* ·Special cleaning services includes fountains, sinks and associated counters, and exteriors of food/beverage preparation, storage and vending appliances/machines and lunchroom furniture
* Move non-permanent rugs and other floor coverings prior to floor care services

* Floor care services shall be performed in a manner that minimizes interference with daily operations. Post warning signs and barricades in areas of floor care operations, as appropriate, to ensure personnel safety
* Sweep/dust mop uncarpeted floors, including stairwells and elevators
* Uncarpeted floors may include but is not limited to concrete, ceramic/quarry tile, terrazzo, rubber, wood, raised flooring and resilient flooring
* Vacuum carpets and rugs to ensure they are clean
* Clean mats and return to original location
* Spray clean and buff floors to ensure floors are clean
* Damp mop floors to ensure that floors are clean
* Wax and buff floors to ensure that floors are clean
* Scrub quarry and ceramic tile flooring to ensure that floors are clean
* Service restrooms, laundry rooms and locker rooms to ensure they are clean, sanitary, and stocked with sufficient supplies
* Provide exterior entrance cleaning to ensure that they are clean and slightly, generally entrances into facilities
* Sweep paved surfaces, wet clean and scrape as necessary for spills, gum and the like, and remove debris
* Perform all other position-related duties as assigned or requested
Essential Skills
* Comply with company policies, OSHA, NEC, and base safety
* Knowledge of standard cleaning procedures, chemicals, products and equipment
