We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian to maintain the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of our 150-unit and 55-unit apartment complexes. You will work closely with onsite Maintenance Technicians and Property Managers to ensure our buildings and grounds meet high standards of care.
Key Responsibilities
Perform daily janitorial and cleaning duties in common areas including foyers, hallways, elevators, laundry rooms, restrooms, community spaces, and ceiling vents.
Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, disinfect, and sanitize surfaces as needed.
Remove trash and recycling; maintain clean and odor-free dumpster/trash areas.
Clean windows, entry doors, glass surfaces, and high-traffic touchpoints regularly.
Complete minor repairs such as changing light fixtures or unclogging drains.
Assist with special cleaning projects and seasonal tasks.
Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and request orders when needed.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain a safe and clean internal building appearance through good housekeeping, organization, and
management of walking surfaces
Follow work schedules to complete all required cleaning and sanitizing, and complete non-routine cleaning
according to specified job orders
Perform custodian duties, such as vacuuming, sweeping, mopping floors, picking up debris, emptying trash cans
and recycling, and general cleaning; these activities may include using equipment such as floor sweepers,
polishers, vacuum cleaners, and dusters
Maintain all restrooms, locker rooms, breakrooms, and footbaths in a sanitary manner; replenish supplies and
paper products in break room and restrooms
Maintain inventory of cleaning and other supplies; notify appropriate contact or update supply sheet to re-order
supplies
Maintain cleanliness and safety of exterior of building; maintain outdoor facilities and grounds, which may
involve operating a variety of power equipment for general grounds maintenance
Handle emergency cleaning and upkeep requests
Use chemicals to sanitize and clean the facility
Perform related duties as requested by environmental health and safety (EHS), maintenance, management, or
other staff members (e.g., help to coordinate and/or prepare for inspections and special events)
Distribute personal protective equipment (PPE) when needed
Follow all safety requirements and wear proper PPE
Implement all DFA GMP's and work in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory, food safety,
quality, and sanitation requirements. Inform QA personnel of any quality issues

* Ability to understand basic instructions, complete basic tasks, and handle basic issues and problems
* Ability to independently lift and position objects weighing as much as 50 pounds as well as ability to team lift and position objects weighing as much as 100 pounds on an occasional basis.
* Ability to stand, walk, kneel, squat, stoop, push, pull, twist, bend, and perform repetitive movements for extended periods of time.
* Ability to work from ladders, scaffolds, and mechanical lifts for extended periods of time.
* Ability to work with commercial-grade cleaners and chemicals.
* Ability to work in a professional manner with others as well as alone without constant supervision.
* Must have a positive attitude with the ability to work as a team.
* Ability to understand English for general communication, video training, building security, and safety.
