DEFINITIONEmpty heading The Facilities Maintenance Custodian performs general labor, cleaning, and inspections required for the maintenance and upkeep of NCTD facilities. In accordance with the collective bargaining agreement, the salary for this position is $20.69 per hour. This will increase to $21.31 per hour on July 1, 2026. Distinguishing Characteristics Able to perform routine custodial maintenance, cleaning, and grounds keeping in the Maintenance of Facilities Department, to include having the skill and ability to operate the tools and equipment associated with these functions. May work independently or as a part of a team in assigned work areas. The church custodian will ensure that all publicly accessible areas of the church are clean and ready for other staff members and the congregation to use. You will make minor repairs, change light bulbs, vacuum, sweep, and scrub floors, sanitize surfaces, and restock items, such as toilet paper, paper towels, and other supplies. You may also maintain supply inventory, submit purchase requests, and assist with preparations for events, such as conferences, weddings, funerals, etc. To be a successful TFH custodian, you should be observant, respectful, motivated, and committed to providing church members, visitors, and staff with a clean, orderly place to worship and congregate.
