This includes, but is not limited to shoveling sidewalks, clearing parking areas and spreading de-icer. Analyzes and troubleshoots problems by performing necessary repairs, including but not limited to clogged drains, leaking faucets, clogged toilets, and malfunctioning ice machines, dishwashers, washers/dryers, heat pumps, etc. Utilizes appropriate experienced vendors for equipment repairs requiring special expertise, such as watermain breaks, fire sprinkler systems (if applicable), fire safety equipment, and freezer/refrigerator repair, etc. Coordinates with outside vendors for approved services. Maintains an appropriate working inventory of supplies necessary to keep building and related equipment in constant working order. Manages activities of the department so as to meet department budget expectations. Performs basic cleaning functions in assigned areas following established community schedules and protocols. Basic cleaning protocol includes: Dusts horizontal surfaces. Empties wastebaskets, removes waste, relines basket. Damp-wipes or dusts all furniture.
