What is a Janitorial Supervisor

Janitorial supervisors are in charge of overseeing the work of janitors in large establishments employing maintenance teams, such as schools, hospitals, hotels, office buildings, among others. They delegate tasks for the members of the janitorial staff and make sure the work is carried out properly and on time.

A GED is enough to get you hired for this position, in terms of formal education. You will need experience on the job as a janitor, and organizational and leadership skills will also be necessary. You have to be good with communication and customer service, and familiarity with basic computer software will also be important.
