Janitorial supervisor job description

Pay rate: $17-$19 per hour

Days & Times: 5 days a week with on call flexibility

Total of 20-34 hours each week:

Criminal History check, drug screen, and e-Verify required

Valid driver's license required. Motor Vehicle Report required

Responsibilities:

• Review assignments with Area Manager and maintain contact with Support team.

• Perform site inspections.

• Maintain and establish lines of communication with customers.

• Assist with scheduling cleaning teams.

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year (we'd love more!) of supervisory experience

• At least 1 year (we'd love more!) of janitorial experience

• Must maintain a clear driving record.

• Ability to lift 30 lbs. on a continuous basis and occasionally up to 50 lbs. unassisted.

• Able to bend, kneel, stoop, reach, and climb stairs for extended periods of time.

• Ability to pass background check, MVR, drug screen, and e-Verify.

We’re hiring hospitality managers to provide excellent sanitation and customer service to our members. You’ll be responsible for leading the hospitality staff, ensuring team members perform their job duties, training and working as a shift lead. This role is hands on and not just oversight, successful candidate will be spending 50% of their time in the facility cleaning.

Additional responsibilities include:

• Train hospitality staff to preform cleaning duties and laundry services with the assist of your shift lead.
• Perform and oversee daily, weekly monthly and deep cleaning and laundry tasks with your shift lead.
• Oversee inventory, supplies and cleaning equipment
• Oversee scheduling and coverage all shifts day, night and weekend.

Respond to member and management requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner

The standard at Cinemark is “clean as new”, and the Janitorial Supervisor strives to always meet this standard. The Janitorial Supervisor will be under the management of the General Manager. This individual will supervise the cleaning and maintenance of the theatre and theatre property during non-operating hours. They will ensure that the next day's Guests will walk into a sparkling clean theatre.

A Day in the Life of a Janitorial Supervisor:
The essential duties and responsibilities of a Janitorial Supervisor include, but are not limited to, the following:
Oversees operational phases and supervises the work of janitorial personnel and supplies Ensures accurate janitorial coverage by assigning staff appropriately Maintains an effective quality control to ensure a clean environment Conducts weekly janitorial inspections of theatre and auditoriums for compliance with cleaning and service standards Effectively motivates janitorial team and communicates updates Guards against unauthorized personnel entering the building during Janitor employee's shift Keeps theatre keys on his/her person and outside doors locked during the non-operating hours Consistently ensures and promotes adherence of proper social distancing guidelines Properly utilizes Personal Protective Equipment while completing position specific tasks Adapts to the frequency and scope of required cleaning tasks Monitors safety and/security issues (trip hazards, lighting, suspicious persons, etc.) and reports issues to management Performs other work-related duties as assigned

What You Will Need to Have:
Must be at least 18 years of age High School or G.E.D. graduate preferredA minimum of 1-2 years of janitorial supervisory experience Availability to work flexible hours which includes early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays Requires regular and consistent attendance Has an energetic and friendly attitude during each shift Provides excellent Guest service Interpersonal skills include the ability to communicate (verbal and written) with all ages, genders, and personalities. Must be able to effectively and regularly converse in and comprehend EnglishAbility to work in a team environment and independently Ability to take and follow direction Responds with a sense of urgency Ability to maneuver in limited-space areas (restroom stalls, auditorium seat rows, etc.) Ability to safely mix chemicals Ability to safely dispose of used chemicals in compliance with state and local regulations
