Responds to telephone and written inquiries on a wide variety of issues using SOPs in a high call volume environment. Authorizes dealer warranty work within guidelines and procedures. Authorizes repairs and supplies parts to non-Jayco repair centers. Provides information repair procedures and initiates unit returns for repair work. Provides technical service information to dealers and customers. Files incident reports for property damage, personal injury or fire. Additional Functions: Enters pertinent information into unit files. Performs other duties relating to technical service bulletins, arranging for transportation of returned parts or units, etc. Preferred Experience/ Knowledge: Knowledge of RV construction processes, warranty provisions, codes & standards, Lemon Laws, etc. Technical aptitude is required. Prior high volume call center experience is helpful. Necessary Skills & Abilities: Willingness to learn, grow and adapt to an ever changing product environment. Listening skills to thoroughly understand problems and respond appropriately in a timely manner. Desire and ability to problem solve effectively. This position will be a part of Jayco's in-house legal team and primarily support commercial litigation activities, with a principal responsibility of performing outside counsel duties as lead counsel in litigation matters arising in California. The ideal candidate will have experience in private practice litigation and be capable of managing all aspects of litigation from case intake through resolution, particularly involving breach of warranty and claims under the Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act. This role reports to Jayco's General Counsel and works closely with the broader in-house legal department as well as Jayco's Consumer Affairs team and outside counsel. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Act as lead litigation counsel in California-based cases involving breach of warranty and Song-Beverly Warranty Act claims. Handle all aspects of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motions, depositions, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation. Collaborate with the in-house legal team and Consumer Affairs Department to develop legal strategies and ensure compliance with applicable laws. Manage and coordinate with outside counsel, experts, and vendors as needed. Provide risk analysis, legal advice, and training related to warranty and consumer protection issues. Maintain litigation files and track case progress in internal systems. Demonstrate sold and clear analysis of legal risks and provide timely, accurate, independent, and commercial-focused legal advice. Other legal tasks and duties as may be assigned or required. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: With a requirement to provide prompt, commercial, practical and complex and/or specialist legal advice, the successful candidate should have: Admission in good standing to practice as an attorney in California (and Indiana a plus, but not required). 1 - 3 years of litigation experience in private practice, preferably involving consumer or warranty law, including California's Song-Beverly Warranty Act. Design Engineer Essential Functions: Suggest, develop and evaluate new floor plans and products ensuring all designs satisfy engineering parameters, industry codes and standards, state or provincial codes and standards, and Jayco quality standards. Participate in engineering projects regarding new products, feature designs and change requests. Embrace continuous product improvement initiatives, cost reductions, quality and manufacturability improvements. Document engineering documents to support ongoing administration and manufacturing of products. Communicate new designs and design changes internally & externally while maintaining good working relationships. Design Engineer Experience/ Knowledge: Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Engineering Technology and 1-3 years prior RV or related work experience is preferred OR 5-8 years prior RV or related work experience in an Engineering or Design position. Must be proficient with Autodesk Inventor or similar a CAD software (such as Solidworks, Catia, etc). Must possess a strong understanding of plan design generation, modeling, documentation and design standards. Design Engineer Necessary Skills & Abilities: Ability to design all facets of product using Autodesk Inventor or similar CAD software. Proficient in Microsoft Office software. Strong communication skills are required. Manufacturing or Design background preferred. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude. Ability to collaborate effectively in interactions with all organizational departments and functional teams. Demonstrate a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. Work Requirements: This position may require sitting, standing, working in front of a computer monitor in an office setting approximately 95% of the day. Requires ability to occasionally travel between field locations. Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and stoop, kneel, or crouch; use hands to fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to occasionally lift and move up to 10 pounds. This position is a full-time position, which may require some flexibility in hours & days worked (including Saturdays, as needed). Regular attendance is required. Not available: Remote work. Supervisory responsibilities: none.
